oh I can feel your pain ... it is so true, when it rains, it pours, and always seems to be around Christmas time ... I just buy what I have to, and sing Merry Christmas to myself ...
and thank heavens for credit cards ...

Sorry you are having a hard time but when I get down about things like that, I try to count all the things I do have to be grateful for. And I can always find so many things to thank god for and it helps me put things in perspective.

Thank you for making me think of all the things I have to be grateful for. Like I am glad we are able to help out my daughter and my car didn't break down today and we had enought money to buy some Christmas presents....and we are all healthy.

I think we're all feeling it this year. I am however, very thankful for our blessings.

I am most thankful that my husband is feeling better every day, my children are healthy, we're able to pay our bills, and that Gizmo is happy and healthy.

We may not have the money to buy a lot of presents this year, but we're planning something really fun this year. We're having a homemade Christmas this year. We're all making gifts for each other.

My husband is doing wood carving and taking photos, my youngest son is recording some of his accoustic guitar playing and making candles, my oldest son's fiance is making Christmas candy and other yummies and some homemade soap and lotion. I'm sewing and crocheting various items. My oldest son has some secret project that I have no idea about, but I'm sure will be great.

I'm sure we'll buy a few little gifts, but not even close to what we usually purchase.

May we all have a better year in 2008, and may God bless you and your families.

I mentioned in my post that I know things are bad for others and that is why I'm not as upset as I could be. I do think of others and it does help me put things into perspective. I just needed to vent a bit - I am working 2 jobs and am on a 19 day work stint with no days off. Many days are back to back 6am to 10pm. Sorry, I and this bill is going to affect many others besides myself. I wasn't feeling sorry for myself if that's how it sounded. I'm just exhausted. I think about others' tragedys often and spend most of my time worrying about others.

I'm sorry things are so tough right now for you. No way I could handle everything you are juggling. No matter how bad things are, you always seem to take time to listen to others. You always make me laugh just when I need it. Hugs!
