No Longer a Member | What movies do you have to watch from now until xmas? What movies do you like to watch as Christmas approaches? I like to start with the less Christmas-y ones, and progress from there. I've already watched The Sound of Music. (This used to come on Thanksgiving day when I was a kid, and it seemd to kick off the holiday movies, so its tradition for me). I also will watch (not necessarily in this order...) Trading Places (my husband loves the scene where he eats the salmon and gets his beard all in it!) Funny Farm Home Alone (only the first one) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Miracle on 34th Street (the old one in B&W) Charlie Brown Christmas Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer (my husband had a crush on Clarisse when he was a kid! LOL) Santa Claus is Coming to Town and if I can find it, Olive, The Other Reindeer. That's all I can think of for now! |

| You must have been reading my mind because I was thinking of starting this same thread the other day! Some of these are kind of corny and would only make sense to me, but... Elf Prancer (a fave from when I was a kid) Home Alone (I don't know why!) It's a Wonderful Life A Disney Christmas The Harry Potter Movies (but really, I watch them all year anyway) And the absolute MUST, one of my favorite movies ever...... A Christmas Story! Hubby and I make a point not to watch it until Christmas Eve, after the kiddo is sleeping and we are waiting for Santa... You gotta love Ralphie! |

A Disney Christmas was something my mom taped off of TV on VHS when I was a kid. It's about 2 hours long and is full of nothing but random cartoons and clips from Disney movies. It's got a cartoon where Donald cut down a tree w/ Chip and Dale in it, a clip from Fantasia with the winter Sugar Plumb Fairies, some clips from Mickey's Christmas Carol, an OLD black and white Mickey cartoon where he sells Pluto to a rich brat to buy stuff for a poor family, one where Donald gets a job gift wrapping presents, etc etc | |
