| My poor deprived dogs disclaimer: my dogs really aren't deprived, no matter what they might tell people. I'm participating in two other GE's. One on the pit bull board (for Laney) and one on the petfinder board (for both of them and my mom's dog- Schatzie). So tonight after my final I decide I'll pick up a few last things from Walmart and see if Big Lots has anything cute. Big Lots had tons of cute toys, so I spent more than I should but I ended up coming home with about 6 new stuff toys, some nylabones, and a couple other things. When I bring the bags in Schatzie (yorkie/chi mutt) was the only dog out. So she goes crazy thinking they are for her. She is addicted to squeakies so when I show mom what I got, that made Schatzie even more crazy. I ended up sitting the bag on the dining room table, and sitting down in the recliner to talk to mom. A few mins later I hear bags rustling, by the time I turned around I caught Schatzie climbing off the table down into one of the chairs . Then later when I let Laney out, I hear bags rustling again and I go and look and Laney is standing on her back legs trying her hardest to get at the toys in the bags. I swear they can SMELL new toys. Then I made the mistake of letting Slade out when I was wrapping them sitting on the floor. I got my exercise tonight, cause he kept stealing the toys and running with them. I could not keep him out of them. I tried putting a few of his toys in the box to trick him, but nope, he only wanted the new ones. I finally went and got Yorkie Yummies and would throw them one at a time. Thankflly he isn't much of a bloodhound and it took him 2 or 3 mins to find them so that kept him occupied while I wrapped. By the way they were acting you'd think they NEVER got any toys, nevermind the fact they have two huge laundry baskets full.

| sounds like you have some mighty smart doggies there ... you know what it is like, the NEW toys are better. You could probably rewrap the older toys and get the same reaction ... very cute!
