How did I miss that post?! gutu28 would be a good mommy to Izzy-Belle and I know miss Calli would be a great big sister. |
Just a little update: Little Izzy-Belle is feeling a little better. She actually crawled up in my lap and licked my leg. She gave Mike kisses and she laid on his chest and played with him a little bit. :D Her chicken and rice stayed down so I gave her a little more which she is happily gobbling down. AND, this is the best news, she turned around and looked at me and....WAGGED HER TAIL!!!! It made me cry it was so sweet! |

She is a little stinker that's for sure! I am going to sleep in here with her (on the floor because I'm afraid she'll fall off the bed), and Mike is going to sleep in the living room with the other furbutts. But don't worry, she isn't already spoiled or anything. lol |
Haha..well she IS a princess in training! One of my good friends has a Chi about her size or maybe even smaller..so she will have a play mate her size if it works out! |
Wow you have had such a whirlwind of a day! I can't believe how close you have been to this pup all day. It has been cool keeping up on what's going on with her. I hope she gets some spring in her step and you get the OK to let her socialize with your other pets. You know, we both gripe about the men in the picture, but the fact that Mike is going to sleep on the couch with the other dogs... well, that's something my BF would do, and I think that is a really good sign of a high quality man. |

What a wonderful thread to read, bless you and Little Izzy-Belle's heart! As long as she is okay (health wise) she is going to have a wonderful life because of you. You are a wonderful person for being there and doing what you did. I cannot wait to hear your updates!!! Parker sends all his love and licks!!! |
Can't believe i missed this thread. You are such a good mommy and have a good heart for taking her in. Poor baby:( She must have been so scared, you said she hides her tail bet. her legs, thats a sign of fear which makes me think the other lady that had her prob. didn't treat her right, but with you caring for her now she will learn to trust and prob. will show her true personality in no time. Let us know how the vet appt. goes |
I only just found this thread! i haven't been on in a couple of days. What a wonderful thing you did...she is just a little angel! I hope she is healthy. perhaps you should call her Holly or something being so close to christmas!. |
awwwwwwwww what a cutie!!! Are you keeping her? Sounds like you have already been calimed! |
Just another little update. First, I flushed her eye last night with some sterile water and it looks 200% better today! The swelling has gone completely down and she has it wide open instead of half closed like she did before. Second, she hasn't thrown up anymore at all. She is eating, drinking, tinkling, and poo pooing just like she should be. I haven't seen any worms in her poop either so that's a good thing. Third, she has a tail! She is holding it out and proud. :D She even wags it when she sees me coming. She wags it when she sees Mike coming too. All she did was look him, wiggle her tail just a tiny bit, and tilt her head and it was she wrote. He was a puddle. Fourth, SHE GIVES KISSES! Omg her tongue is so tiny and she gives the sweetest, gentlest little kisses ever. This is the best part....we have decided to keep her! Mike and I talked about it, and things will be a lot better for us financially starting January. We SHOULD be able to swing the extra vet bills, etc. with little to no problems. If I see there is just no way, then I will rehome her (hopefully to a YTer). She is just a little angel. She slept right up against me all night. She slept with her butt on my pillow and her body across my neck. I slept on the cold, hard floor. No matter how many blankets you put down on a hardwood floor, it is still hard. Oh, another thing she has just started doing today - she follows me everywhere. I still won't let her out of the room or around the other furbutts, but while I am in here she is right on my heels. :D I called the vet and they are going to see her tomorrow morning. :D I explained the situation and they aren't going to charge me an office visit. For just a little wellcheck and to make sure there isn't anything she can pass to the furkids, they are only charging me $40. I *think* the lady said something about that including a set of shots too. I am not positive about that though. I hope so! It would definitely be nice! |
