Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Please Drive Carefully Last night I came upon an accident not too far from home, someone driving on the country road apparantly going too fast didn't make the curve and rolled, we do believe there was one fatality. I just wanted to remind folks to drive extra careful with the weather conditions such as they are in many areas. We are having lot of rain, and with it fog in our area. Don't hurry to get anyplace the extra time you take is worth it. Patti and Jack |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OMG I can't believe you did this post. I TOTALLY AGREE !!!! I have an awful commute to my new job - I have to jump on THREE freeways and the other day right where I branch off to one of them - there was a horrible horrible accident....they had to shutdown the freeway it was THAT bad - All I could think of was hopefully that poor driver didn't know what hit him (buckled between TWO big rigs) and that it could have been ME since I have to travel that same route everyday - even stranger - I had just told my dad I was worried about getting into an accident because this commute is the worst I've ever had to do and then boom ....the next day I see a horrible fatality up close. We have to drive on the defense ALL THE TIME now - there's just too many idiots on the road these days - This is the exact view I saw - DO NOT LOOK if you get easily upset http://www.click2houston.com/news/14729881/detail.html

| Take your time! I always leave about 20 minutes earlier for work in the winter months..... you never know when you will wake up to ice/snow ... and it is nice to get a headstart before all the other traffic gets on the road. (there is always a bunch of traffic between 6-7am so I leave at 5:30 ..much better )...... besides, no difference having my coffee before I leave or once I get there! ........."Take your time... and leave a little early" Great Post!!!.....

| Wonderful post for your reasons Baby Blessing and also something to remember when you are at a party over the holidays and have a few too many drinks to ask someone else to drive home. It can happen so quickly.

| Great post Patti!! We had our first slick roads last night and I was so worried about my son getting to work. He's only 16 and hasn't had that first 'scare' yet. Please be careful Villette.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | oh my gosh! Those both sound horrible. Thanks for the reminder, Patti. (Even though I don't drive...but my brother gets his license on Tuesday. ) I remember about 3 years ago my family went to the cowtown rodeo in south jersey, and my friend Jessica was with us. We were stuck in traffic and I looked out the window and what I saw has managed to scar me for life. It was a jeep...or what used to be a jeep. It was on top of a trailer. It was smashed up, the air bags were deployed, the front was GONE. and the worst part? There was a HUGE tree coming through the driver's side window and coming out the passenger's window. You could actually see blood on the tree. I can't BELIEVE they didn't cover it. I don't remember anything about the rodeo, but I can picture that car clear as day.
