I don't think it is necessary to seperate any of the dogs. If someone has a female due to come into heat at that time, they really ought to leave it at home - it is never a good idea to take a female in heat out in public. Other than that, I hope that if ANY yorkie becomes a problem (aggressive behavior, excessive humping, fearfulness, etc.) that the owner would remove it from the group.

Yes, I agree with this. Maybe we'll just set a pen or two to the side as a "time out" pen in case any of the babies need a little quiet time for a bit. I can see where the concern came from originally with separating the unaltered males because we had a male at one of our SoCal meet-ups that wouldn't leave the females alone (even Sukoshi, who is spayed), and the more submissive females were just taking it. Of course, the female owners should've grabbed their babies, and the male owner should've separated the male. When he tried to see what he could get from Sukoshi though (which made no sense to me since she's spayed, but I guess he wasn't picky ), my sweet baby who never shows any sign of agression actually growled at him, and he left her alone. I guess I did a good job in teaching her that NO MEANS NO !!!!

Lacy can be a BIG flirt but then she'll growl if a male tries to hump her. Last time we were at a meetup, a papillon and she were being very flirty and the owner asked me if she was in heat...I said No she is spayed. But she IS flirty until they try to hump her and then she wants no part of it!

Also, I think we should have a "no treat" policy at the park in case dogs are food aggressive. Lacy can be very food aggressive so if anyone does get treats out, please warn me so I can pick her up and get her away from the treats. Other than that she should be fine. She can be a brat to bigger dogs but normally does fine with other small dogs.

Don't get me wrong...I am SO EXCITED to meet each and every one of you who has already signed up...but I was hoping to have a rush of people sign up before the price increase . Well...those of us who are going will have an AWESOME time...even if it is a smaller turnout than originally expected . And registration is still open, so we may still have more people sign up as the time gets closer. This is going to be so much fun!

I hope you all have a wonderful time. If I was already living in Oklahoma I would so be signed up!! I could drive there. But its in June and I am not going to Tulsa until July. Unfortunatly with the moving expenses I cant afford the trip. If the turn out is large enough or goes well will there be plans to have one next year?

Take loads of pictures and maybe we can have a "meet ups" forum where everyone can share experiences and pics.

I think that's the general idea (to do one on the East or West coast next year, alternating coast the following year, and then back in the Midwest the following year), but my standard answer is...let's get through this year first, and then we'll see about doing another one in the future .

This will be a "getting to know you game", but you'll have to start doing your homework NOW . That sounds like a whole lot of fun! It will be a hard game, though...since we don't know a whole lot about each other as it is, but it'll be fun guessing!
