[Amazing Yorkies]

Looks like I missed out on a great time! My husband has Cancer, and had a really bad fall on Friday, and my "husband" sitter didn't show up so I was afraid to leave him. I do appreciate those who came up and introduced themselves to me on Sunday morning when I was able to pop in for a few minutes of Yorkie heaven! I was feeling a little out of place and a lot overwhelmed, since I didn't know anyone. Thank you "Sunnie" for the hug, it meant a lot!

We stopped in Dallas to see some friends and then stopped in Corsicana to see Vicki (Bleu Boy Barber) so we didn't get home until almost 2:00am! We were all exhausted. The dogs were worn out too. It was nice spending an extra day in KC...we napped after breakfast sunday and then went out on the plaza for lunch and some shopping. And we ran into Misspinkbarbie several times! I only took pictures of the PJ party and breakfast sunday morning since we are getting a CD with pics from the photographer..I'll have to go through them and upload them tonight.

Oh..get this! We had SIX dogs in our hotel room, and we didn't get charged any pet fees!! I'm thinking the hotel messed up because we even filled out pet forms and all, but when we checked out they didn't charge us anything for the dogs. We were so excited LOL.

I hope we can have another meetup sometime..it was really great meeting everyone!

I am envious you stayed another day . .the weekend definitely wasn't enough.

Great that you weren't charged on pet fees . .

Deb, I am so sorry I didn't come over and say Hi and give you a hug. Trust me it was overwhelming period - here I had hoped more people would be there, but I know there were several people I hardly got to talk with. Between watching dogs, taking pictures, etc. - the whole trip just flew by. So sorry about your hubby - hope is doing better! I wish this was in person - but hugs to you

Deb-sorry we missed you too! I would have loved to have met you! Milli was kind of "over" the other dogs and being there by Sunday morning-none of us really slept well, so she was kind of being a handful that morning!

Lisa-thank you again and again and again for allllll of your hard work and planning this. I loved all of the work and thought you put into everything-the jars for the raffle tickets, the water bottle labels, the nametags, the goody bags, the excel sheets-you were so organized and creative too!

We had such a great time. The drive was long but it was well worth it and I'd do it again in a hearbeat!!! It was so nice to meet everyone, now I can put faces with names. And all the babies, so different with such wonderful personalities.

I have enjoyed looking at everyone's photos, I only took my camera out once, during the pj party, I'll have to upload the photos real soon. However I did buy one of the cds from the photographer, can't wait to get it in the mail.

Lisa, you really did a great job organizing the whole event, thank you, thank you!! Hopefully more members will attend the next one.

Lisa really did do such a wonderful job! I don't know how she did it all. The water bottles were so adorable!

we were lucky and only had to pay 50.00 for the four pups. they refunded the 100.00 for the second 2.
btw the paper we signed on the registration said 1/2 would come back to us.

I'll be using all your input (and the input from the other attendees) to make all the decisions for the next meet-up (again...assuming I put together a "next" one), as you guys were the ones who made this one such a success! I'll tally all the attendees' votes in determining anything for the future!!!

That's great that you didn't have to pay the whole pet fee! Maybe they imagined our group would be much crazier than we really were, and they realized there was no need to charge us all the extra fees. Or maybe you just got lucky . Either way...that's great !

WHAT??? You were there on Sunday??? How did I miss you???? I'm bummed I didn't get to say, "Hi", but I'm glad you could pop in for a bit and meet some of us anyway. Hopefully I'll get to meet you next time! I'm sorry to hear about your hubby!

LOL! Glad you liked everything! I shocked myself by actually plugging in and USING my sewing machine to make those raffle bowl toppers since I'd bought it over a year ago and had never plugged it in, but thankfully I got one that did an easy buttonhole . HomeEc in high school was a long time ago...and that was the last time I'd sewed anything! I had fun doing everything, and it would be easier next time as long as I don't try to reinvent the wheel next time and just use the same formats for the handouts, name tags, etc. Yes...I admit I'm crazy with spreadsheets!!! LOL!
