Will the whole company be off?? I think the economy is pretty bad this year, because my mother's work is not doing their holiday bonus and everyone has to take off two weeks...I am not sure if it will with pay or if they will have to use their vacation time.

My sisters work is the same way...they always get a big bonus check (that a lot of people count on for their holiday shopping) and a holiday ham and some time off with pay......but she said they are cutting out a lot of stuff too...she doesn't know what they will get this year!!!

Yeah, it's the whole company. Every year in the winter they lay off, but usually it's like new hires that end up getting it or if it did effect my dad, it was never for that long. My dad's work stinks! They no longer give holiday bonuses or anything. They get a $20 gift card for a turkey. Last year the funds weren't even on the gift card when mom and dad went to the store. Finally a few trips to the store later, it was on there. The plant manager sucks. I guess I can say that for sure because he is my best friends dad. He isn't the most considerate person on the planet, he likes to think of himself. Last year he got a huge bonus around Christmas and took his family to Cancun while my dad got nothing. My friend gets kicks out of it because her dad is above mine. She always asks me what all my dad says about work, it's sad when friends have to rub stuff like that in.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Slowly but surely I'm getting more out of my mom. She said dad didn't even get his $20 turkey gift card this year. Instead they were giving optional flu shots. Oh boy! They probably just did that so they can't say they have it and they'll make them go to work. I felt bad because my mom was over yesterday and she just stared at our tree and cried. She was telling us it looked pretty and they didn't know about presents this year. Of course, gifts aren't the reason for the season, I told her that I didn't need anything. I really don't. My brother, who is 18, is going to have the biggest problem with it. He just isn't very understanding. He told mom for Christmas that he wanted money to put towards his car. So hopefully when she tells him this stuff he will be more understanding than usual. Please keep them in your prayers.
