Donating YT 11K Club Member | Flunking Bio I just took a test for Bio that i knew NOTHING! It was like reading gibarish. I failed the first test, the second one i passed but barely and now this one i think i failed. It's soo hard. The problem is, and some of you may have known from a thread i made before that i go to school in LI and since i dont have a car, i have to leave early from class or else im forced to walk alone for 30 min in the dark to the LIRR if the cab doesn't come. My mom will be so mad if i fail, all i need is a D, but i dont even think that is going to happen

| Have you tried talking to your professor? Does your school offer a shuttle to the train station?

Donating YT 11K Club Member | The last shuttle bus from the school to the train leaves at 7:26pm, my class ends at 8:40pm. The train is like 5 min away by car but walking it takes like 1/2 hour and it gets dark here already at 5. I spoke to him and he's nice but he cant do anything if my test grades dont let me pass.

| Physiology has been kicking my booty...I've got finals next week so I know how stressful it can be. Maybe your professor will curve some, especially if the class average is low. And maybe you did better than you think

| Ugh. I know how you feel. I failed my first Bio class in college. It was "cell and molecular biology"...and it sucked. I need to retake it to bring up my GPA, and I'm petrified! Good luck! I'll pray that you did really well...or at least a D!

| have you considered a car service to the LIRR??? or perhaps you can transfer to a city college. Aren't there city colleges you can go to? What is your major? Is this your first bio class???

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | are you at school during the day at any time or do you just have night classes? if you are, maybe you could see a student tutor. we had a student center where fellow students would help out others in need. i used it for Physics 2 (now THAT was hard). In bio class, what did to help myself was make flash cards off all the important information and then test myself all day long. Move around during the day to different places because sometimes you can link the location of where you were sitting at the time to the flash card and you can help remember what you were studying at the time. worked for me. my favorite place to study flash cards was while taking a bubble bath. I haven't taken bio 1 in 7 years now..... oh wow.... cant believe its been that long since i was a freshman

| I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Can't you meet with the prof. some time during the day for help, or get a tutor?
