I was all set to come home from work today and come onto YT and ask for suggestions for names for our little girl. Since we have had no response, nor has anyone heard of any lost Shelties, I had resigned myself to the fact that we were going to have a new family member - much to the cats' distress(they have both moved into the bathroom since her arrival and won't leave). We hadn't been able to agree on a name, so I thought this would be a good place to come for suggestions. While I was at work, Krysten brought "Puppy", Remi and Roxy to Lowes to finish 2 of the buddy exchange gifts. While there, she was stopped by 2 women who gushed all over "Puppy". The Mom said he used to have a Sheltie and if she ever got another, it would be a Blue Merle(just what "Puppy" is). The daughter rescues Collies. Between them they have 2 collies, 2 labs(I think) a golden retreiver and a sheltie. The daughter asked if she could hold her and "Puppy" went right into her arms, gave her all kinds of kisses and laid her head on her shoulder. I was almost in tears. "Puppy" has a wonderful home now. She has big dogs to play with and a huge fenced in yard. They said she will be sooooo spoiled and if anything happens, the hubby goes before the puppy:) . I felt really good about them. They live very close and we can visit any time we want. They will keep us updated. We told them that if there was any problem at all with her and the others we would gladly take her back, but I don't see that happening. She is such a happy, playful pup. Just wanted to share the good news and thank you all for all the suggestions and especially daisy mae06, for all her detective work. It turns out she was neither of the possible missing dogs in question. So, there is a very happy ending to this story. Oh, Remi came back from Lowes and just sat and cried for her:( and Roxy has been so dang happy that it's back to being "All about her".

Awwww:wub: that is great! I hope they really do send pictures and keep you updated! ((I'm a freak that way, you know))....but I am happy that she will have a good home.....Poor Remi......Mojo says he will send one of our big dogs if you want to play with.......nope....he changed that to Lily!!! hee,hee :biggrin:

It is funny how our little ones quickly get attached to others. I know Mojo will sit at the front door, just so we will let the big dogs in for him to play with.

Oh Remi, Alphy says he understand about big girl love because he feels that way about Abby, although Roxy is his hot little tamale too. :)

Its a shame that no one claimed her. But at least she is in a home now where she will be loved and spoiled rotten. :D

Thanks Guys. I miss her, and I was a little uncertain, but I think she will have a really great life. All she wanted was a lap to lay her head on. She demanded nothing, not even food and she never barked. She is such a sweet little girl. I am going to call tomorrow to see how the introductions went with everybody. I'll let you know.

I am sure it is so hard to let her go to a new home... I am sure she'll be happy there though. I really wish we could have found her owners but it seems maybe they don't want to be found.

"Puppy" went home with the Mom who has a male sheltie that RULES the house. Before she went home, she got a trip to the vet(fleas and worms - all taken care of) and has a full visit next week, and a trip to the groomer - she has a bow in her hair and smells like cinnamon. She put the male sheltie in his place and now they are the best of friends. She is in good hands and I feel much better.
