Pitt is a long way off - other side of the state. She's small to med, doesn't bark much-only when mine bark first and her bark is quieter than either of mine. The girls wanted to call her Shelly and she responded to the name, but she responded to other names that sounded similar to that. I'll try to call them tomorrow. If it is her family, someone has been taking good care of her. As I said, she still smells like shampoo. No doggie smell at all. And she is super clean. I'll update after I talk to them. |

I worked yesterday morning and was away all afternoon - did check on her and she did fine - except the wet food we gave her the nite before sorta went right thru her. We put our cell phone #'s on the posters and not one call. I have to work from 8am - 10pm today, but there will be someone here all day. Hopefully, we'll hear something. Nothing from the email I sent to the people in Pitt. I don't think she's their's, tho. But, not to worry, we won't give up the search. |
that's so strange that no one claimed her yet. you'd think that since she's so well taken care of someone out there would be missing her like crazy. maybe someone was traveling for thanksgiving and just passing through the area when she got loose, and on their way back home, they'll see the posters... |

The ad went in the paper - nothing yet. We checked her teeth and she has definite problems there. Some are chipped and some look like they didn't grow all the way in and there are small cavities. I am not prepared for any great expense right now and I don't know what this entails. I've never had a dog with bad teeth. I did find someone whose Blue Merle was stolen last year. I am going to check with him. His was 4 yrs old and he still has all her papers. He has gotten new dogs since so she will still need a home - if it's her. Will update. |

It's not that he doesn't want her back - they searched for her for a long time, but finally gave up and got a couple puppies for the kids and they can't have any more. He kept all her papers. I don't think it's her but if it is, he may change his mind when he sees her. If I don't find her family, I will keep her. I do have one possibility of a super home. The Deputy Sheriff and his wife are good friends of ours and they have a beagle - Lindsey - that they would like a playmate for. She gets treated better than most kids. So, she would have it made - and Lindsey is a sweetie. But, I'm still searching. Has anyone had extensive dental work done? I'm curious about the cost. I still have to get Remi fixed, Xmas is coming, winter bills, and I need a serious raise just to survive. |
