| PLEASE!!! Computer HELP! Please, anyone who knows about computers... I'm panicking here. I was using my desktop this morning as usual, then I disconnected from the web and went and did some stuff. About 45 minutes later, I came back and the monitor was blank - in safe mode or whatever. The light on the front of the tower was on, so the computer was on, but NOTHING was there. No humming of it working... nothing. I tried turning it off and on... nothing. I tried all the plugs and wires... nothing. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? This is actually making me sick to my stomach when I think of all the things I have on that computer. SOS!!!! |

| Possibly a storm or some electrical surge... First, please do EVERYTHING that you did over again! Unplug everything, plug in everything, check ALL the cords & wires for a tight fit. Check your surge protector for the plugs and switch being on. If this does not work then you might have some problems. BUT, PLEASE DON'T WORRY!!! No matter what happens to your computer, you will be able to recover almost or everything. Unfortunatly computers may be expensive, but your info is important. If you still have problems, find a good tech person or contact the company you bought it from if you have a warrantly. If the problems cannot be resolved, you will need to contact a tech person to recover you hard drive and everything on it, no big deal. GOOD LUCK, I really wish I could be of some help

Just a tiny noise like it is trying to but can't. I need to post some pics to sell a couple things and I can't from this laptop cause I can't find Paint to resize them. Is there any way to resize them other than using Paint? I know I must sound stupid but I am freaking here.

| Yike...no advice I'm not good with computers....but I feel your pain. When I owned my own business my computer crashed one day...all of the businesses records and finances were on there...and of course, I wasn't as dedicated to backing up as I should have been. My computer was beyond repair so I bought a new one and a tech came in, pulled all the info off my old hard drive and placed in on the new one. Whew!!!! I'm better at backing up now Anyway, good luck, hopefully if all is lost all is NOT really lost. I think a good tech could recover your idata.

I was just getting ready to post a couple of nice carriers to sell... now I don't know how to resize them on this laptap. D********** I'm so not good with this stuff.

It turns on and that's it. Nothing comes onto the screen at all. I'll check to see if I have MS office pic. I don't use this laptop very often.

| Don't panic! Safe Mode sucks, but it does help save your data. Worst case scenario, Geek time. You can recover your data. It happened to me. I think it cost about $150 because I had some other things added at the same time. Good luck!
