Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Personally I think tasers should be illegal. They're SO dangerous, and IMO they're 'cruel and unusual' which, last time I checked, was against our Constitution. This is JMO, of course, but that's where I stand. I understand and appreciate the fact that the police need to protect themselves and others, but there are other ways to do that.

| I saw this on CNN today. Absolutely terrible. There was no reason to taser him. He was scared, could not speak English, and was in a completely new environment. I personally think the police were WAY out of line. If the man was out of control, there were enough men there to maybe cuff him and let him calm down..but taser??? This is so sad.

| I watched the video but I couldn't figure out what he was doing? Why was the man upset?

| It talks about it in the article. Apparently he was upset that the immigration process took so long and he couldn't find his mom that was picking him up (she thought he hadn't arrived at the airport so she went home). He couldn't speak English and became frustrated.

| I have mixed feelings about this. Obviously no one deserves to DIE. I also believe a lot of authority figures (police, airport security, etc.) often abuse their privileges- as they did in situation. But on the other hand- what good did he think was going to come out of throwing furniture and a computer around? Frustrated or not- you don't act like that. Common sense- which is universal (for the most part)- tells you that.
