That's terrible! I've watched them grooming dogs while I'm checking out, and I don't like the way some of them are handled.

yes, thanks for calling. I do hope they do something about their grooming techniques. it seems like they just don't provide enough training and they really aren't attentive to how the dogs are handled. they are bordering a lawsuit if they don't get their butts in gear. i know if it were one of my dogs, i would own that place!!!

I have watched them grooming dogs ay my petsmart when I am checking out and the "groomers" are talking with eachother and not even watching what they are doing. Tonight on our abc news at 10 they are doing a story on Dog Groomers and it makes it sound like you will never want to take your dog to a groomer after this.

well,,, YOU GO GIRL!!!! Get Em!!!! lol,, I'm proud of ya!! and certainly hope it perked their attention! I've never used Petsmart for grooming,, watching thru the glass scared me of it,, and i've not seen anything like that happen!! our groomer recently "moved", now to find her again!!! I just can't handle trimming their nails,,i quicked a dog of my parents once,, made me ILL,, poor baby,, just can't stand the thought of doing such to one of MY babies!! glad ya got em told!!!

heheheh....it usually takes a LOT to make me so angry I'm shaking; but I had to concentrate to speak clearly that day! I use my vet, as I can't trim either of my dogs' nails. Abigail squirms so much, I'm afraid she'll hurt herself. The vet is more expen$ive ($17), but the peace of mind is worth it! And, I am sitting right there in the room with them, you betcha. I won't use their groomer, because clinic policy won't allow me in the room.

I stopped using Petsmart last year because:
1) the one groomer I trusted there left and
2) I saw a guy grooming a small dog who got angry at the dog for moving around. He yelled at the dog and grabbed it by the collar, kinda jerked the dog, put his face right in the dog's face and fussed at the poor thing. Now every time I go to Petsmart I look for this him. The really bad thing is a girl at my work takes her dogs to him! She swears he is wonderful.
