| Please say a prayer for a local police officer. In Phila we have had 3 police officer's shot in 4 days. Today an officer was checking into his log book at al local duncan donuts and the store was being held up and he was shot in the head as soon as he walked in. The shooter came back for his gun and is at large with his own gun and also the police officer's gun. Officer Charles Cassidy who was shot in the brain has been on the force for 25 years with a wife and 3 children (2 in college and one in high school). I just feel for his family right now. The Philadelphia Cardinal gave him his last rights. My heart just goes out to this family right now. They put lock downs in all the local schools in that area today. It hurts close to the heart for me today because a close co-workers husband is a cop and also my Dad's injury. When I told my co-worker about what was breaking in the news she called her hubby (who was off today) and he is a friend of the officer who was shot. My dad suffered a brain injury last year that left him a quadriplegic and unable to speak. Hopefully this officer has a miracle like Bob Woodroff if he makes it. The news is saying he is in critical grave condition. Please pray for him and his family. I attached a pic of the officer.

| So horrible.. poor guy. Philadelphia is getting so bad. It's even moving into the areas that were, for the most part, considered safe! |

| I will keep everyone updated. It is sad that this man only went to a shop that was robbed last month to check in and they shot him in the head.

| The homocide rate in Philly is just going up and up and up. The police commissioner really needs to come up with a new strategy, because whatever they are doing now is obviously not working. |

| He left a wife and three children behind. So sad. The family said just a couple weeks ago they had a celebration for his 25 years on the force. They have to do something here in Philly to stop all this crime. It seems like just walking out your door or even sitting in your house you are at risk. It was a couple weeks ago that lil baby could of been killed when a stray bullet came into the apartment building and hit where the playpen was. Thank goodness she was sleeping with her parents. That time the person was shooting out security camera's.

I'm leaving as soon as I'm done with college. I hate to say this but- the crime is moving out of the ghetto and into the nice neighborhoods. Scary stuff. | |
