Almost all dog clothes are made in china...even the designer brands.

Not just dog clothes, it seems like everything is made in China!

I don't mind my dogs wearing clothes from china. But I wont' give my nephew a toy made there.. and I scoured walmart and they only have 2 toys that weren't made in china that i was able to find.

I started checking several years ago to see where things are made and surprising to find that lots of things we wouldn't begin to think are made in China. Even on some can goods ( not off brands either) in the regular large grocery store chains so much is grown and shipped from China I needed some lip stick and couldn't see the label so asked the clerk to read it and it said packaged and shipped from China this was a popular brand that I had worn for years. Womens personal items should be checked to see where they are made was very surprised to find that out. I recently bought a Platex Bra, wore that brand for years, bought at one of our large dept. stores, Jack read the label made in China, it went back.

I really wish our country would get back to producing more in our country and not relying on other countries to provide things we need and want. The more production in our own country the better it will be in the long run, even though we would pay more we would be putting people to work and at the same time putting PRIDE back into the United States, which I feel so sadly has been lost. All this is my opinion.

I also was disapointed in seeing that one of the department stores in our area also stocks things made from Viet Nam and I refuse to buy those items in clothing even though I really liked them.

I have purchased clothing for our girls from some of the ladies here in YT this past year, so really haven't gotten any from Wal Mart, and oh my gosh some of those that sew here are so reasonable, and do beautiful work.

I did just order the play yards from Wal Mart off the internet store and yes, happy to say they are made in the good ole USA and the price was great.

Didn't mean to type all this but I get vocal on this subject of trade with China, what do we produce in our country to ship else where in the world?

Alot of human clothing is also being produced in India, south east asian countries, and central/south american countries. There are still alot of products being produced in the US, but the % of imports dwarfs the % of US production. WalMart is all about getting the best lowest bid from vendors and offering the cheapest retail price to customers, so you have to expect products that are not produced in the US. It's all very simple, you have the freedom to choose where you spend your dollars. If you don't want to save money, then don't shop at WalMart.

As for US exports China is putting a big strain on the price of grain, building/construction materials that are produced in the US.

I think they are trying to build one out in Queens, since they were pretty much run out of Manhattan. It would be way out in Queens though.

Good luck finding anything, a friend of mine in NY says everytime she goes to Target its so empty it looks like its been looted. So I can imagine what WalMart would look like if they ever open one.

Yea the target around here is in the Bronx and i hate that one. I usually go to the one in LI around my school, they have a lot of cute dog stuff. I love target! lol We have a kmart downtown but that one just sux

My friend goes to the one in Queens Center, and says the displays are allways cleaned out. When she comes back to PA for visits and we go to Target its almost like a religious experience LOL!

I Dont care where my clothes are made. If its cute i buy it! I KNOW everyone has different views on this matter. I personally didnt throw out all my dogs toys when the recall came sorry if that makes someone mad but i didnt. I have been watching with the new toys i buy tho. I still buy things from china just not latex or rubber stuff. I dont think we have had a recall on clothes, I think you will have a harder time finding stuff made in the US then its worth.

Me too The closest one to me is at least 30-40 miles away. I've been calling all my friends asking them to check for me but they are all sold out.

But hey-I'm going to NC for Thanksgiving and my aunt has 5 Wal-Marts in driving distance from her so maybe I'll luck out!
