| Mom's 50th Birthday! So my Mom turns the big 50 on November 13th and I am trying to come up with a great gift for her...the only idea that I have this far is getting her a GC to the spa for a facial and pedicure and then I would go with her and treat myself too (LOL, might as well enjoy the spa day too!) What other creative ideas do you have?? I have my Dad and Brother all over my butt for ideas and I do not want to give away the only one I have. Help! We had a surprise party for my Dad when he turned 50 which was tons of fun, but my Mom insisted we do not have a party for her, she is not a huge socialite. So I need something to really wow her. Thanks |

| I think your idea is great. I know any mom would love spending the day with their daughter doing fun things. Sounds like a very special day. |

| Good thing your mom isn't all drama like mine... And I say this in the most lovingly way possible!! My mom had the 5 day cruise for her 50th...AND I threw her a party. Not to mention that my sister took her for the mani-pedi the day of her party! So my mom got it all... but hey, she has done it ALL by herself for my sister and I for the last 11 years, so she deserved it! |

| Definitely spa day! Also, does she work outside the home? If so, here's an idea for you! When a friend turned 50, we printed a handicapped sign on the computer (8X10) had it laminated and mounted on a yard stick then took it to her office and put it in the ground in front of her car. She got a basket full of hemorrhoid cream, denture cleanser, geritol, the little eyeglasses you get at WalMart, a foldup cane, shawl, well - you get my drift. I'm just glad she didn't hold it over my head when I turned 50 in August
