My Youngest Moved Out Today

I knew it would come sooner or later, but still Iam very worried and sad Now its just me , hubby and the furbabies she moved in with her boyfriend about 15 min away, closer to both there jobs, as she was packing this am, I was trying so hard not to cry, now as i right this im balling, thanks for listening anyone else have the empty nest syndrome

Im sorry I remember the day I moved out of my moms house...boy she wasnt crying she was hysterical I felt soooo bad. Its so hard as parents to let go, I cant imagine the day my 3 leave home. Im going to be a mess as well. I hear people talk sometimes and they make it seem like the worrying ends when children become adults but boy is that wrong! we NEVER stop worrying do we.
Im sure she will do just fine!

I could just cry for you so imagine when my 16 years old go. I will be thinking of you. I sat in a parking lot for 30 minutes last night before I could drive home crying. This was the first year I was left out of ALL homecoming dance stuff. I think the girl's mother is very rude ordering the flowers and all I had to cancel the ones I ordered. I did get to go take pictures and I looked at my Son's face during one time and I could see he felt bad for me and I told him it's ok just go with the group ( I was changing batteries ) He is my heart and soul if I can't pull it together enough to get through a dance HOW will I get through him going to college! I know I am bad, but I really believe it's the way the other Mother cuts me out of evrything and hardly mutters hi to me. I had another 16 year old son who went to the dance and he rode with his g/f mother and we did pictures at her house and I had a good time, they are so friendly I usually hang out talking with that Mom after Brian is in the car ready to go.......lol Good Luck!

I went thru this 6 times!! It never gets easier. I think I was hardest hit when my youngest son moved out when he got married. I wasn't ready to let go of my "baby". I had 6 sons, no daughters, and is why I prefer having little fur-girls so I can buy girly things for a change. They help fill the empty nest void too. I still can't cook for just two people. I was so use to cooking for an army! You get over the pain and hurt but the emptiness needs to be filled with a hobby or something so you aren't so lonely.

Two of mine have left the nest and it truly broke my heart! I have two boys left (one is a senior ) so I'm really trying to enjoy every day and every experience. I feel for you.

Wow. It must be really hard for parents. I don't have children, but I recently moved out of my parents house. I didn't move 15 minutes away though. I moved 13 hours away. From Alabama to Chicago. My mother helped move me. She was calm till it came time to say bye. She cried and cried. I didn't cry till she actually left and I cried for about 20 minutes. After that everything was okay. The sad thing is I'm not going to be able to go home this christmas. I have to buy books for school.

I cant even imagine an empty home..I love having a loud crazy home full of kids..BUT one day you will have a loud crazy house full of grandkids to visit you and play with you and the furkids!!

I know how you are feeling i went threw this 2 times and my youngest will be moving out in the summer of 2008 then it will be me and my husband and the furbabys i know its gonna be hard letting the last one move out ,i try not to think of it but i know i will cry because shes my baby,i am wondering where the years went ,one day they were in school and now the are graduated and are having kids of there own .

I can sympathize for you.....We have 6 kids. We recently had this house built....My daughter and grandbaby still lived with us. She was/is my baby. We are the closest.....They just moved in with daughter's boyfriend . I really thought I was going to lose it....This house is sooo big and there was only hubby and me and Gunnar....

Then Hubby and my mom bought me the boys for my birthday.


The Hot tea and a long soak in the tub is great advice

I keep the baby while daughter is in school so I see them both everday...and we keep the baby every Friday night...lol...But it is just not the same....

I could not go in daughter's room for weeks...It just killed me....

So I guess my advice is to stay busy...And it is okay to cry....

That's why Milo came into my life in March------my life was way too empty.

Thanks for the support and all the hugs I think she comming back to stay for one more night I took a ride to her new place, she is so excited, she is my baby also, I only had 2 girls and my oldest was just married in august, i have my 4 furbabies to keep me company and of course all the great friends i have made here I also have a granson who will be 2 in feb he is my pride & joy for sure its just going to seem so weird at first, hubby told me to make a doggie room with her room, i said sure, can i get a couple more then, hehehehe he said ya stuffed ones

I'm sorry I'm the youngest in my household and i don't want to think how lonely my mom will be when i move out but i know i have to one day. My brother moved out a few yrs ago and now has a baby, it took her a little to adjust to. I just don't want my mom to be alone, and when i move i will be taking all 3 furbabies with me so she won't even have them. It sucks, im sorry
