Megan, I am so so sorry that you are having to give up your babies. I wish this didn't have to happen to you. Best of luck. I'm sure someone here on YT will be able to give them a great loving home. I know that as much as you don't want to give them up, sometimes life brings us things that we don't have much control over. I'll be thinking about you....

Our family is moving and we can't keep the dogs. :( As hard as it is, there's no way around it. I know a lot of people say that they'd rather go homeless than have to give up their dogs, but when you're actually put in the situation your opinion changes. Rusty - Rusty is a 9 year old Chocolate lab mix. He's really sweet and well behaved. He knows all kinds of commands. He loves to play and gets along really well with other animals (he's afraid of big dogs though). He loves kids, too. He is an indoor pet who thinks he's a yorkie and wants to sleep on your lap. =) He's my best friend.

Tucker - Tucker is a 2 1/2 year old Yorkie. He's 12 lbs. He is a ball of energy and loves to snuggle. He gets along well with other animals and kids. He loves to play fetch, and he knows all basic commands.

Maddie - Maddie is a big baby haha. She's 4 years old. She LOVES snuggling and being petted. Playing games like fetch are SO below her, she'd rather sit on your lap. haha.

If anyone wants more information or anything...shoot me a PM or email. This is very emotional for us...and I've been avoiding this post for a while. But I just can't anymore. We're moving on November 3rd. Maddie is getting spayed on November 6th, so we're keeping her until at least a few days afterwords - whether the owner likes it or not. Trust me...they have done all they can do. Can you not see that they are heart broken over this? I know that all of us at one time or another have said that we would never get rid of our pets...well some times life throws you a curve and those choices aren't ours to make anymore.

I'm sure you meant well, but I just wish everyone would think before they post. There has been a lot of tears and prayers put into this decision. Megans parents love the pets as much as she does and have done all they could do to not have to make this decision. All they need now are our support and homes for their loved pets. If you can't give either of those then please don't post.

Actually I did think about it and didn't write what I normally would have written on a thread like this because I know she's only 14 and doesn't want to rehome her dogs - and the decision isn't hers to make. And I did offer advise - to look for another place to live. I was only asking if other options had been checked in to. No matter what came my way, I would never rehome Lacy - she means more to me than anything else, including a nice place to live. If there really is no other option that to live in this unpet-friendly house, then I'm very sorry..I hope you find great homes for all the dogs

Ahhh Megan sweetie..I am so, so sorry to see this. You are heartbroken I know. I'm praying very hard that someone on YT would be able to take in your babies...I can't take anymore in since we travel and it's hard with one and 3 cats.:( We'll pray very hard for you and your family.:( :hands:

Megan, my heart aches for you. I know that you have already exhausted the options available to you as far as keeping your furbabies. Maybe in the days to come a window will open that will change your situation. Hopefuly there will be someone here at YorkieTalk who will be able to provide much needed assistance. Sweetheart, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

You are having to make such mature decisions at your tender age. I am sure that your parents are so very proud of you. Sending hugs :ghug:

You know how you just have feelings sometimes. I just got in and although I don't have time today for YT, I felt that there is a reason I should check and here was your post.

Dear Megan my heart is breaking for you and your entire family. I knowing having to re-home the cats was so hard for you and now this. I know you and your Mom have done everyting humanly possible but I just so wish as I'm sure you do that you could at least keep one. Sweetie you all will be in my prayers. You know I'm only allowed to have one dog here or I would help.

I know I do not post here often but I have always admired your maturity and your deep love for your pets.

I am so sorry! And believe me, I know that we are all guilty of making grandiose statements regarding what we would or wouldn't do in extreme circumstances. But until we are faced with the situation, they're only the words we'd like to believe ourselves. I know that everyone here knows what a heartbreaker this is for you.

I hope that some YTers will be able to take in your family members in order to keep them close to your heart. I wish that I could. Please stay no matter what happens; I've always enjoyed your posts and stories. Praying for your strength and hoping the next adventure you're starting on is a great one!

First of all, Megan we are sending a big hug to you.

We are so sorry that you and your family are having to do this, but what an example of being a fine young lady you are, it brought tears reading this post that you are having to rehome your fur babies, but you are to be commended in handling it the way you are.

Jack and I know how you and each member of your family are hurting and we will be keeping you in our prayers. Please keep coming back to Yorkie Talk, you are so much a part of us all and Yorkie Talk wouldn't be the same without you. Again sending a big hug your way from the both of us, God Bless You.
