Does anyone know what kind of food the snack place has? I'd love a break from any kind of food prep, lol........ :D |
Well going with what they had last year at the snack shack it was mostly just ice cream and stuff like that, soda, chips and cookies. I'm not sure if they are expanding. I will try to get down there or send my daughter down there to check. There are a few sub shops on the way down there and there is a Papa Ginos and deli places right down town. If you take a right at the light you can go downtown there are a bunch of places there and if you keep going towards the waterfront there a more places down there also. |
It must be Sunday..... My husband is going....I'll believe it on June 13th if he actually gets behind the wheel but for now he's going....I hope some other hubby's are going too. I know Abby's hubby's def. going so far. Yippee!!! |
Bobo and I are looking forward to meeting everyone -- this should fun! Crossing my fingers for good weather --- |

Rebecca my husband with be there and so will Linda's so there should be plenty of guys to hang out together. I think Linda suggested 11-2 but I'm not sure if that was definite. |
Thanks...11-2 (or something similar) sounds perfect. :) |
My wife and I will be there. No Yorkie yet. Still trying to find the right pup. We'll have lots of questions for you. See you there. Jack B. |

More Info... Christina, your email made me go like this:  !!! A week and a half away!!! I think we are all set though really ... I've PM'd a bit with Kelly, who lives in Plymouth and she was able to get some great shots of the park and ideas of what we might need to bring etc. Here's what we are planning: *Meeting, Saturday, June 13th from 11-2-ish(?) *We'll get the furkids set up in their expanded ex-pen (so far, we have 3 -plastic type-that we can join together...if someone has another, please bring it *For those who would like to swap or pass along used clothing etc. we can do that before lunch *We plan to have a bring your own (brown bag) lunch - but please feel free to bring goodies to share if you like :D(their is also a concession stand near by *For those interested, after lunch we plan to do a gift wrapped/gift bagged Yankee Swap (Yorkie-related-$10-$12) Here is a list of what you will need to bring: *Folding Chairs/Beach Chairs or a blanket (Kelly saw that the picnic tables were cemented in the ground, since there is no guarantee that we will be able to get one, she will be bringing a couple of folding tables. *Lunch & water of course for your little ones because it could get hot! *Clothes for swapping and a Yankee Swap gift if you so choose *Cameras!!! I think that's it....Directions are in the posting above this one. I'm going to post this to all of your Profile pages so that I don't miss anyone .... I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you and seeing some of you and your little ones again!!. Let's hope we have great weather...but if not, for those who may not know, we have set up the following Saturday, (20th) in case of rain...but it's not going to rain.....I just know it!:D See Saturday!!! |
This sounds great! My mother wants to come too; she babysits Bo when I travel for work, and she dying to see all the little babies. I don't have a playpen, but I could probably scrounge up some extra beach chairs if that would help. |
YAY! BF told me this weekend that there is no baseball game that saturday (he's a coach for his son's town team) so he can go with me. I am happy because it's a cool 1.5 hour ride for me. So we'll try to make a day of it! :) I hope for no rain because I can't make the 20th! The weather here so far says that sat & sun are looking good though, getting all the rain out of the way now. I have an ex-pen already split into 3 pieces. I'll clean it up and bring it with me. I don't know what I'll bring but I'll try to bring a dish for everyone to eat something good. Maybe cool angel hair with veggies, nice, cool summer dish! I will bring a gift I hope, if I get out shopping this week... but sadly I don't have anything to swap since my boys don't wear clothes. Actually I might have one small pink sweatshirt type shirt, but it's super small. Anyways, please let me know if anything changes or if you need anything else! See you all in 5 days!!! The countdown is ON!!! :) :) YAY!!!! |
Christina, You don't have to worry about bringing a dish to share to eat, just bring lunch for you and your BF. We will just be bringing sandwiches for us. I had mentioned that if someone wanted to bring dessert that would be great....but we are trying to keep this very low key....I will PM you as well..... |
5 more days!!! I can't believe it!!! OK, I just found "Official rules and regs. for a Yankee Swap" and thought I'd post them here...I will print them out for the meet up also.... The Official Rules for a Yankee Swap: Everyone gets a randomly drawn number when they bring an unlabeled wrapped gift to the swap. (In our case, Yorkie related no more than $10-$12) Remember: the person who gets to pick first, also gets to pick last The person with the lowest number goes first. He/She chooses a present, opens it and takes it to where they are seated. Each person in order then gets to pick a present, open it and decide whether to keep it or swap it for any other present someone else has already received (this is the Yankee part). Opening and swapping continues until all presents have been chosen. Finally, the person who picked first gets to choose from all presents, or keep whatever he /she has already received. |
That is going to be fun!!! I can't wait!:D |

urrgghhhhh watched the news this morning , looks like rain??? That stinks soo bad !! Are we rescheduling or waiting till the morning??? |
My weather is saying cloudy and upper 60's I dont know if we want to wait till tomorrow am to call it. Linda should probably check in this morning sometime, I'll let her call it. :D |
IM just worried that upper 60's inland means like 50 on the coast.. the ground will probally be soaking wet from the rain and with the ocean breeze we will freeze!! Linda what are you thinking??? |
