Kelly just sent me a PM and she will be coming too!!! Yay!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!! I really need directions though.... Is this a big place? I know Kerrianne(?) sorry if I spelled it wrong...said she would be at the door with Emerson...and to let her know that we were Yorkie Talkers so maybe she could point the rest of us out to one another??? I am going to copy this posting to the Taunton posting too...Oh I can't wait!! Sounds like fun!!!

Thanks! I'm just trying to keep us all on the same page! :p I made a huge mistake today and checked out another Region for their meet up ideas...what a nightmare that turned out to be !!! I really would like to keep this simple if possible...:confused: Here are my ideas PLEASE COMMENT:
*I think it's totally awesome that some of you have offered your homes/backyards because in a way, especially if your area is fenced in, the kids (I call mine "kids":D) can run around unleashed... I would love for them to be able to do that but another thought I had was that if we did decide on a more neutral meeting place like Plymouth and a couple/few of us had x-pens (mine is the hard plastic type) we could bring them and join them together so they could have a safe little play area....again, a thought as I did read that one of the "down sides" to a meet-up was that the Yorkies really didn't get a chance to play...
*Wherever we decide, we could make it as easy/complicated as we want. We can bring a picnic lunch or not. We could also just let our pups play for a bit and then take them for a nice walk to get an ice cream and shop....
***Here is another idea I have been tossing around....well, actually, YT is tossing the idea around....what do you all think about a Yorkie clothing swap? I know I have some "gently used" items from both Willow & Jake that I would love to share with other furkids that could fit into them....it's a thought...of course.... we could all wait for the YT thing to get going... or we could do our own exchange....just a thought.....what do you think???

Thats a good idea about meeting somewhere neutral. I have a portable (plastic) ex-pen. If we did that we could go just about anywhere. Plymouth has a few places I can think of. Nelson Park- it has a beach, grassy area-with shade, bathrooms, ice cream, and if anyone is bringing kids (human) there is a playground . Also its not too far from the waterfront attractions-its within walking distance. There is also a park area by the Jenny Grist Mill, I havent been down there in a while but its usually a nice place, and its a short walk to either downtown area or the waterfront. There is another area right on the waterfront across from the Brewster Gardens and the Marina. We could easily set up the ex-pens and let them play for a bit then walk the waterfront. Just a few suggestions around here. I'm game for going anywhere just want to let everyone know what's available here. Anyone else have any suggestions in their neighborhoods? :)

I think the cloths swap is a good idea too! I have a couple outfits that Layla has already outgrown and I could probably find a few that Skootie doesnt wear.
How about for YT people on May 3rd, we could put together pins or something that would identify each of us. I'm willing to make something and be there early to pass them out at the door. Just an idea. :D

Kelly, Thank you so much for your help and feedback!! I LOVE that you know the area. I'm really getting the sense that we should opt for Plymouth this first time because as I have read over the threads, there are three of you who really seem to have a preference for it. The park where there are restrooms and ice cream sounds great!:D Is it close enough to parking? We can definitely bring our ex-pens (sound like we have the same one - eight sides?) Since Tony (hubby) will be coming he can put them together and if we have another one we should be fine and the pups will be safe! Does the park have picnic tables? Do we need to get there early to grab one or two? I'm glad you like the clothes swap idea too!
Curious what others think....??? We certainly have all summer to plan other meet ups and I think since some may have to travel further this time that perhaps if we do another, it could be further north???

I love the idea about the pins for YT or something similiar...you can always give them to me at the table to pass out if you don't feel like standing there waiting...and those YT members who are coming can ask for the pin....

I will be at the table at the door with my Mother...and all my dogs...I will have a huge blue jogger carriage with the crew in it....and of course Emerson will be there for you all to meet...he is quite a character...

Wow this is sounding great!!! I love the idea of meeting up in Plymouth , just because its so beautiful there, I also believe that someone posted that they lived in Plymouth and offered thier back yard?? What ever is decided I am soo excited, I cant wait!! I think it will be fun!!

As for a clothing exchange that is awesome, I have sooo many outfits Laci has outgrown, does anyone have a puppy????

Kelly had mentioned her backyard at one point but thought one of the parks would be best!;) So glad you like the clothing exchange idea! We could have a blast just sorting through clothes! I have lots of smaller stuff too...but that's OK...does anyone have a teapot that's outgrown their things?:p:p:D

I am able to copy the YT logo with the dog at the top of this site and paste it into a word document and then print it on name tags.....I can add a line for names or put the names on before hand????? Yeah - Neah????

Rebecca, You might want to check with Kelly (KCary13) first as she was the one who first offered to make the tags and go early...:confused: She may have already made something? Please read her posts above....Maybe PM her??? Thanks....
