Wow, it's so nice to see other RI'ers here! Welcome to our newest local members! Maybe we should plan a little get together in the Spring.

Hello everyone,

I am from RI also, Portsmouth ....we got our baby boy Kingsley 2 weeks ago.....as someone said ..I can not imagine life without him.....
He absolutely adores playing with his older sister, Katy ,a shih tsu ....
she was nor to happy with the new very active addition to the family...but now it's hilarious watching the two play together ....
Hope to hear more from RI people....lol..

Hi, from RI. Just got our new baby boy, Brady

. He is 3 months old. Got him last Saturday, we're in love.

ENJOY EVERY SECOND WITH HIM .....

I live in Mass. and I travel toward Providence every school day to bring my daughter to school in Swansea, MA. We go to church in Seekonk as well.

I am in N Smithfield and Jasper is 5 yrs old, I got him about 3 weeks ago, he was rehomed, I got real lucky

I just joined and right now I am looking for my first yorkie. I read there is a real good breeder here in RI but I haven't been able to find out who it is. Do you know? Do you know anything about Sherilyn's Yorkshire Terriers?

Welcome to YT! I have not heard of that breeder. What town is she in? How long has she been breeding?

She (Sherilyn's Yorkies) is in Connecticut and from what I can find out she was invited to the Westminster Kennel Show. That seems like a pretty good recommendation but I am new to this so I am not positive of this. Where is your breeder? I know there is a woman named Betty that is in Smithfield. From what I am reading here she seems to have a good reputation and I know she is expecting a litter this month.

I know Betty - I got my Sapphire from her. She is expecting a new litter the first week of February

I know both parents of her expected litter, and I can tell you, they are both great dogs. I would take one in a heartbeat - if I didn't already have 5 yorkies of my own.

We have a Shih Tzu and a Mini Schnauzer both 7 years old. We were stupid and got them both from 2 different pet stores and they both have had health issues. Naturally we love them both dearly but I want to make sure when I get my new baby that she comes from a very good breeder hopefully avoiding these health issues. And not knowing the difference between a good one and a bad one I though YorkieTalk would be a good source. I was thinking of settling on a retired breeding female from a reputable breeder but you are giving me second thoughts. I really appreciate the info.
