| ![]() Good Morning Fellow Yorkie Lovers ![]() Allow me to briefly share my story, and an advice would be welcome. After 26 years and 4 generations, I lost my final Yorkie, Mozart ![]() nearly two years ago, leaving a gaping hole in my heart. Saying that, I'm not even sure how to even begin this journey to finding a new loving fur-baby ![]() ![]() ![]() Living now in the Lake Norman/Charlotte NC area, does anyone have any recommendations for me. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, |

| ![]() I am so sorry for your loss. But it sounds like you would like another dog. It took me about 10 years to find my right dog. But most of that time was spent researching the breed and temperament right for me. When I retired and had the time for a dog-- all that research helped. Then it was the journey to find the right dog. I checked the dog shelters online and locally, went to pet stores and drooled, looked for breeders, and talked to a lot of people. I chose a Yorkie/Poo from a good breeder. I wanted to know (within reason) what I was getting. We have adopted three other pets from the animal shelter. I specifically wanted in small, indoor, lower allergen pet. While your waiting to figure it out, you could be a foster parent for dogs. Contact your local animal shelter for information. Good luck, keep us posted as to what you decide. |
