I have sent you 2 private messages and even a message on Facebook asking who Misa's breeder is and you have ignored all of them. What a shame.

I see that it's going to be on Right This Minute. It says that it's on my station at 10pm and that is when our local news is on. Cess - is Right This Minute a little news segment or it's own show?thanks. She's just a sweetie. I love your most recent pic of her just laying and snuggling with Tam. Those kind of pics are my fave!

I say it is a shame because others have asked her the same question and she never replies.

I have been looking for a healthy and happy puppy for a couple of months now. In my search, I came across this forum and after reading through it, I have been pretty much petrified of choosing the wrong breeder by all of the warnings of "red flags" and such.

I see a puppy that I think is adorable, happy and seemingly healthy and reach out to a "Donating Senior Yorkie Talk Member" for advice and a breeder recommendation. Hey, if a "senior" member trusts this breeder then maybe I can too, right?

The lack of response (going on three weeks since the first time I inquired) and desire on her end to help makes it appear as though she believes she is the only one entitled to such a cute puppy.

I was under the assumption that people were on this forum to help. I have posted under the appropriate section and while many people viewed my question, very few were kind enough to respond.

That is a shame.

There are many, MANY other breeders here on YT. Also, there are many others in your area that have used breeders that you could be asking. If she chooses not to disclose her breeder, move on to someone else and ask. Or look on the club website. You're in LA, she's in CA...that's quite a distance and there are many respectable breeders closer to and within LA.

Are you currently in LA?

I am in Louisiana right now and will be in Walnut Creek, California then Sacramento next week. I also stated that I am willing to fly in to pick up my puppy if I find one.

Thank you for pointing out the distance between Louisiana and California and for pointing out the fact that there are breeders in my area. I have done my homework and I am not finding a breeder I am confident in to purchase from in my area, hence the posts on YT.

You mention there are many respectable breeders in Louisiana. Is there someone you would recommend?

She also told one member to message her for the breeder info. I just can't seem to wrap my head around all the secrecy unless she bought her from a puppymill or a broker, then I could understand and would not want to go that route.

I disagree - not everyone is open. There are quite a few private people here on YT. Immediately accusing Misa is from a puppymill or broker is not friendly.

So are you moving to the Walnut Creek area? I have family there. When are you planning on moving? If you're moving here, I would first look at Index of / and check out the breeders there if you haven't already. And then make sure that you'll be here by the time (s)he is 12 weeks old. TBH, I wouldn't be looking until you've already secured a place, if you haven't already.

A. She has not been secretive about her dog at all as she wrote on her FB that she hopes to get the dog in movies one day and posts pictures and videos of her daily. She just refuses to share a breeders name.
B. I did not "immediately accuse" Misa of being from a puppy mill, only suggested that could be one of a very few reasons to not disclose breeder information. I was taught that not sharing is not friendly.

Breeders aren't top secret. It's not as though she will personally be able to adopt every single dog the breeder produces and by sharing the info everyone will run out and buy up all of the pups so she can never get another.

C. I will only be traveling to the west coast for business, no plans on moving.

D. I have made the choice to fly to another state, if necessary, to pick up my puppy so The poor baby would not have to travel all alone in a shipping crate. I make enough money to afford airfare and a dog and vet bills.
