| Bad breath Hello everyone, I joined just so I could ask about a friend's Yorkie (Halo) who has really bad breath and thick saliva. Her teeth are fine....nothing stuck in them. She has a little tartar on the incisors, very little. She's healthy otherwise. She's almost 2 years old. She is fed raw ground meat and a raw meaty chicken bone (none is enhanced, some is organic) 3 times/week. She might not drink much water but supposedly raw fed dogs don't. She's on no medication and has no history of any other health problems. My friend has not taken her to the vet and has no labs since she does appear healthy. Her weight is good, her poops are good, lots of good energy, happy and affectionate. Her eyes are clear and her skin/coat look good too. She's rarely left alone....my friend works at home leaving only for weekly errands. Her stress load is minimal...the dog, not my friend I would love to hear from those who have addressed this problem and what answers you found. I would especially be interested in what your vets have said and what labs were done if any of you did go that route and found an answer. Thanks so much, Chloe |

| I'm surprised no one has responded to your question yet! I am giving my dogs probiotics and it has helped a lot |
