Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Katie Scarlett's 'Nervous Tick'....ROFL Hey y'all! I had to share something with you guys. Katie Scarlett is definitely back to her old self after the spay surgery. She brought her favorite toy up to me a few minutes ago, her plastic foot, to play fetch. Well whenever we play fetch/tug of war she does the funniest thing. We have affectionately coined it her 'nervous tick.' We will throw the toy, she will bring it back, and then we will play tug of war. After a bit, she lets go and before we throw she looks at it and starts 'chomping at the bit.' She moves her little mouth sooo fast and sometimes her tongue will start sticking out. It is hilarious! I took this video with my phone so the quality is not the best and it is sideways, but I hope you can tell. I'll try to get a better video of this with my camera later. But she was cracking me up and I had to show y'all! Tee hee! Katie Scarlett Playing - YouTube

| Uni does this too when she gets really excited. Or if she accidentally bites us while playing, and she's nervous or saying sorry. LOL |

| Both of my boys do it when they play. It is cute watching them play tug of war together.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Whoops! I did not know no tugging for 2 weeks. .Her vet did not mention that, but I will not let her do that for a bit. Thanks for the info! Thanks everyone! I bet your babies are adorable doing this as well. We love it! She makes us smile!

Nothing strenuous that makes her use or stretch her abdominal muscles... he did say no jumping and no stairs? You could call and check with him, just to be on the safe side.... It is good that she feels up to a little playing, but you really have to try to keep her calm. She is so cute....

She is getting prettier and prettier. Be careful though... my vet told me no running, stairs, tugging, etc. for 14-days after Riley's neuter. They sent me home with a discharge sheet that said all of this, as well. I think a spay is a little more harsh than a neuter so I would imagine it would be the same instructions. I could be wrong though. Riley acted as if nothing had happened, the next day and it was veeery hard to keep him from running and jumping. He did end up having issues with his stitches, but not until a month and a half later. He had the internal dissolvable ones. His body started rejecting them and pushing them out. He never even tried bothering them until then..... Had to have the vet remove what was left. He healed up perfectly after that though. | |

| Soooo adorable she is!! Jackson was fine back to himself two days after neuter. His first night home, he was pretty quiet, and at the time, my moms dog was still alive and was so confused why he wouldn't play. I just tried to avoid lots of jumping and stuff, but honestly, that lasted for all of 3-4 days or so and then it was hard to keep him down, and he was fine...

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | The vet did say no running, jumping, or stairs, but did not mention anything about tug of war. She has been playing, but very soft playing. I have not done any more tug of war either. I guess I should've realised that, but I did not. I hope she will be ok. She has rested most of the day today. I did take her out to see the snow for a few minutes, but definitely no strenous activity out there.
