Thanks, everybody. And Yorkiedaze, the new dog arrived much faster than I'd ever anticipated. Lucy is a 9- or 10-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever who needed a home at about the same time we lost Rusty. It felt soon, but I've lost beloved dogs before and learned, in my case, that healing goes faster when you have something to help fill the hole in your heart -- and take the emptiness out of the house.

It's nice that you could be there for Lucy and now she gets to be there for you....looks like she fits in perfectly with Jillie and Eddie...and wow...that Jillie is really trained well...she stopped immediately when you asked her to...hmmmph if I could only get my Trixie to listen so well. Keep posting your videos....I love seeing them.

LOVE IT! Jackson is soooo jealous. I am not ready for snow YET, but I know it will be here soon! I am pretty sure Jackson would love to live in Alaska with your gang, he would thoroughly enjoy it.

Great video. Lucy's fitting right in with Eddie and Jillie. "that healing goes faster when you have something to help fill the hole in your heart". It sure does. Zack and Zeke came into our lives shortly after Harley and DJ died a week apart 1/08.

oh my goodness this is adorable great work. And i agree with you Lucy will help fill the empty spot in the heart. Looks like she fits right in Beautiful family But you just keep your snow up there We have been lucky and have none yet. I am knocking on wood it will come. Yeah, we got a little of the freezing rain, but not too bad. The bigger problem is that the snow got soft and punchy, and I walked through the park and punched big holes in the snow. Then it froze again. So now our "trail" through the park is like a frozen minefield. I don't know how Jillie negotiates it. I keep thinking I'll need to pick her up, but she stays right with me!

I hadn't seen the new vid yet....LOVE it!! Patrick came and watched it too since that's a lot of snow for so early, especially where you're at in AK! Loved watching Jillie hop through the snow.....my new little one, Maya, reminds me of her a lot (personality and mannerisms, not looks ) She hops just like that in the snow.....loves the cold and snow....and runs zoomie circles around just like that when I say "I'm gonna get ya!" lol I just love your kiddos.

(I was sorry to see on your signature line that Rusty passed I've been MIA on here for awhile because I've been so bogged down with schoolwork so I didn't see until just now. Patrick and I are both very sorry for your loss.)
