He misses you... Couver gets really excited when I get home and he will occasionally bark, but nothing like this!

It can be ear deafening let me tell ya! He does the same thing if I'm standing in my husband's office trying to carry on a conversation with him. I finally have to pick him up to keep him quiet. But 80% of the time he's not like this. I guess it's an attention getter and I'm doing my best NOT to give in to him.

Have you ever watched Dog Whisperer? When you come home, No touch, No talk, No eye contact. Just walk in and completely ignore him until he calms down. Then give him some attention. He will soon learn that this is the behavior (calm and quiet) that are rewarded.

Yes, I watch Dog Whisperer and I have tried ALL of that. And I continue to try his methods. If I do no touch, no talk, no eye contact he barks even more! LOL

I have no suggestions for you, I'm trying to work out a few barking issues with my own guys, but this video made me smile, the other little fellow just standing there with his tail wagging, to darn cute!

LOL!!! I hope the spray bottle works!! I haven't found a dog that LIKES it...but there's always a first time! hehe

I have used a spray bottle on my little barker (spritzed her a little water while I said NO) and it made a world of difference...now all I have to do is SHOW it to her...and I get immediate silence! lol Then once he's quiet...you can always give him a treat...he'll catch on......eventually.....mommy likes it BETTER when I'm quiet...

Another suggestion might work... Can you put him somewhere that he can hear you come home but can not see you and has to bark or ring a bell to come in where you are. I am not exactly sure just thinking...
