Maybe I can help you with that. When you make the 2 rows, make sure your tension dial is set a little looser. Then when pulling the threads, pull the BOTTOM threads and use your other hand to kind of guide the gathers towards the center. I do one half, then go to the other end and do that half guiding them towards the center. Does that make sense? If it still breaks, you will need to loosen your tension even more (turn it to a smaller number) Sonya
