Post Your Stroller Pics please and why do you have one OK - I'm debating on getting a stroller and I've seen some threads with a lot of you having them but very few with pics of your furkids in them. Help me decide which one, type, where to get, etc. Also - why would you need a stroller if you have them on a harness???? What's the benefit of having a stroller? My husband thinks it's dorky but I think they are super cute. Help me decide!!!;) |
1 Attachment(s) I have one that I only use when I'm going to fairs and other crowded outdoor activities. When the puppies were younger and didn't have all their shots I also used it when I went into pet stores and the vets (those floors can be so filthy). This is an old pic - keep forgetting to take a new one:rolleyes: Oh, and I purchased it on ebay. |
1 Attachment(s) we use ours for crowded places shopping alot more stores let us in cause hes contained & i have to arms to shop bug basket to put our stuff for long walks on the beach some place to put them when there tired when we took ours to get there shots it was alot easier then having them all over the place i was able to talk the the nurse and dogter they were sitting calm in the stroller there are so many reason we love ours |
1 Attachment(s) Cyndi I highly recommend getting one . . . easy to maneuver and boy you will have an extra hand to do other things :) Took Annika to the pet fair and I tell you it was scorching hot so she did not have to walk on hot concrete and so was able to look like a DIVA whilst mom checks out various vendors :p |
1 Attachment(s) We use ours all the time!!...... Festivals, Campgrounds, Stores, Parks...... Sometimes our yorkies are worn out when we camp..... even if they are "pooped", we can take a nice long walk with them in the stroller. Also, when there are many dogs around, it is nice to have them in the stroller for the added protection. I get a little nervous when people with big dogs think it is cute to let their dogs play with my little ones. Many are not aware that a large dog "playing" could prove to be tragic with a little yorkie. I just don't like it, especially if I don't know the dog. (and of course, there are always the little kids that want to pick them up right away!!!!).............. a stroller just helps eliminate these situations where there are lots people and dogs around. We ended up with this stroller from Petsmart. It has bigger wheels, which are great for "3-wheeling" thru the campgrounds. I like the 3 wheels .... much easier to manuver ( I had one with 4 and it just didn't steer very well). The cup holders are a MUST when you are a coffee drinker :coffee44: :D . Hope this info helps!...... this stroller is really good size and they can lay down in it if they want to! Attachment 148552 |
Everyone - thanks sooooo much - this is awesome and love all your cute pics of your babies in the stroller..how cute. You all sold me on the why's and many I would have never have thought of. Shelby and Seymour's mom you are so right in that too many big dogs, little kids, etc., can hurt our little munchkins and having them in a stroller can prevent all that. K - another question....do people make snide or rude remarks when you have them in the stroller? |
2 Attachment(s) here are Kodi and Pixie in ours They love it. We have taken it camping to the vets before I got it people laughed about it but now that I have it they agree that it is cool and worth it. with three it helps keep them all togther and safe :) |
I just got the same one Shelby&Seymour's mom posted and I like it so much better than the first one we got that Tiger'sMom shows. When I got the first one (the PetTrax 3 in 1), I purchased that specific one as it is versatile. The carrier comes off the stroller base and can also be belted in the car as a car seat. Well, my girls would have nothing to do with it as a car seat and they hate being in a carrier. As a stroller it is okay except my daredevils like to jump out. Even though I would strap them in, they would still fling themselves over the side dangling!!! When zipped up, it is not really something they can stand up in - so they hated that as well!!!! So, I just got the new one and I love it so much better and so do they. They have plenty of room to stand, can look out the back as well and there is also plenty of room for them to lay down. We used the stroller on vacation and the girls were allowed in many stores they would not have been in the stroller. It is also very convenient at the vet's office and other places you may not want them on the floor!!!! |
I love my stroller. I take my babys for walks in it all the time. Especially on Saturdays when I'm searching the yard sales. |

:goodpost: I have to admit that I laughed and scoffed at these strollers But I am now really wanting one. My hubby doesn't want one though  Loooove the pictures!!! |
3 Attachment(s) This is our second stroller, the one we had i sold because it was really only meant for one pooch, so i bought a bigger one. We use it for mall's, markets, crowded places, vet's, walks, indoors when they want "time out" |
under not in 1 Attachment(s) Zoey prefers under not "in" the stroller. |

Thanks everyone for all your pics they are so cute and you have all convinced me that getting a stroller is as Martha Stewart would put it, "A good thing!":D |
1 Attachment(s) Finally got a picture of my stroller, so here it is. We love going for walks in it. |
This is a great thread! I really want one but I know hubby will think I'm crazy! Kim |
I think they are really cute but i'm certain that if I got one I would be laughed at everywhere I go. |
I hear ya on that one. I was at a pet store with my sister and her friend and I was checking out a cute stroller they had on display. My sister's friend looked at it and said "That's pretty ridiculous"...and I'm sure that would be the reaction from everybody else if I were to ever get one :p Quote:

I have the Jeep 3 wheel stroller and I do love it (it's better quality than most children's strollers). But, I hardly use it to be perfectly honest. I thought it would be great for long walks, but I have 4 dogs and while they all fit, they want to be walking, not rolliing so when its zipped they howl to get out. If I leave it open and tie their leashes down, they still will jump out!! So, for me.. it's been collecting dust in my garage, lol. I plan to attempt to use it for the Humane Society Dog Walk next weekend (2.5 miles) just in case they do get tired. We are recruiting my sister so that we can take all 4 furbabies and I am REALLY hoping I use the stroller since DH keeps making fun of me for buying it, saying "I knew you'd never use it", lol. |
I don't use mine all that often, but when I do I'm so glad I have it. It is perfect for trips to the vet, shopping and traveling and for all those Pet-a-paolloze types of things. |

Yorkie Stroller I want to get a stroller for our yorkie so badly! (I think the neighbors will think I've lost my mind--) Please tell me how much you need to spend to get a really nice one that will hold up. Our Yorkie is over 9 lbs. and VERY strong, so I don't want him to break it. Thanks for your help! Cindy:) |
2 Attachment(s) We don't use ours all the time, but occasionally take it on long walks or to festivals. |
This was a great thread. I am thinking about getting one. |
stroller questions Does your Yorkie try to jump out or whine about being in the stroller? I wonder if our Buddy would like being in it. I take him on walks and he gets tired, so I'm thinking it might be great for him. |
My yorkie would jump out but would also bark if I zipped her all up so my boyfriend added a little leash attachment so that she could be unzipped but not get out |
Yorkie Stroller Questions Do people look at you like you're crazy when you walk around your neighborhood? What kind of stroller did you buy and how much was it? Thanks:) |
