I'm so glad you shared these pictures! These little guys bring so much joy and ask so little in return. It looks like they got LOTS of lovin' |
That's so awesome! Great work that you're doing! |
What great work you are doing and those babies are getting lots of love! |
That is great. I also got Roxy to be a therapy dog. My dad is under 60 and has a very bad TBI (traumatic brain injury) leaving him not able to speak and move. He isnt brain dead he laughs at the right things and smiles. Our dog of 16 years died (Siberian Husky) while he was away in rehabilitation hospitals and a nursing home. He was away from home for 9 months We took my dad home and take care of him there. Which is something everyone said we couldnt do. I decided to get a dog again and she is bringing so much joy. Well so far he loves Roxy and she makes him smile and laugh everyday. When she is calm I put her on his lap in his wheelchair I am going to post a couple pic's of him with Roxy. I will take more for everyone. Roxy is very special she is just as crazy as his Ashley but small enough to lay with him. Since she is so small I leave her with my mom and dad all day. When I get home from work she goes crazy running around and all. He just laughs. It is so nice that she puts a smile on his face. |

Fantastic pictures. Looks like all had a good time and a lot of love and kisses were shared among many. Keep up the good work! |
How wonderful that they can make so many people happy. Bless their little hearts. Your so nice to do this for those folks. Keep up this great work! |
Oh, that's awesome! My grandmother is in a nursing home, and they have a therapy dog come in, and my grandmother will talk about the dog for days. It really cheers her up, gives her something to smile and laugh about, and gives her something to look forward to.:) You're doing a great thing! |
What a wonderful thing to do! I wish I could do that with Baby. We have a senior home right down the block from my house. Baby loves people, but she's too jumpy! She'd probably knock some people over trying to kiss them! :animal36 |
Yorkies were made to make people smile ... and that is what they should do ... you are a good person to share the love ... good luck with your dad and his recovery .... |

Awww, BabyFidgett... Don't let that stop you. They can be trained. Sammie was really jumpy too and she's been through Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and just completed GCC Preparation Training and they taught me some great ways to level out the jumpiness. So give it a try if you really think you would enjoy it. And dalnna - thanks so much for the pics. I can't wait for Sammie to start her work. Maybe we should start a Therapy Forum on here so we can swap stories and ideas. AND PICS!!!! Thanks again for sharing your wonderful pics! |
I am looking forward to getting Milo tested and certified as soon as he is old enough. Thanks so much for sharing the pics.:animal-pa |
I commend you on the wonderful work you do. I'd really like to do that too. I think the older generation are great people, and very appreciative. Great pictures. |
