we had such a nice time in NYC but i missed my girl SO much! we found a cute little store near our hotel and of course i had to get Layla something but it is hard to get her stuff when she isn't there!! She got a new harness which she REALLY needed, the XS was too small but now that we have the S and if she were ANY smaller it would be too big. but it is still super cute!!! she also got a new Puppia winter jacket and again, the Medium would have been WAY too big so i got her the small which is a bit tight. however she tends to put weight on in the summer because we are so busy at work we arne't home until 9 or 10 and dont' have time for walks... Layla hangs out at work with us but it is always too hot out... in the winter we are usually out for 30-60 min every night for a nice long walk!! and she is definitly more of a winter girl :) so i'm hoping that it will fit later on... if not it will be up for sale :p

here are a few pictures from the trip :)

1. Me and the Brooklyn Bridge. Notice the sky... rained most of the time we were there :( but i guess it is better than it being SUPER hot!!!
2. Miss Liberty!
3. My mom and dad on the carriage ride we took in Central Park. I thought it would be a bit "cliche" but after we did it i was SO glad we did.. i think it was my favorite part of the trip!!!

i was going to post more pictures since i took quite a few but i think once you've seen one picture of new york you've seen em all :)

My friend said that about the Gondola ride in Vegas but once we did it, she was like... IM glad we did, lol. I love the carriage rides and try to do one in all the different places, if available.

Love Layla's jacket - and don't you just love, love NYC!!??? I go there on travel and it's just an awesome city - it's a super "walking" city and everything is so close.

OMG! She gets cuter in every pic you post of her!! How does that happen? She looks adorable in that coat. :) That is a great photo of your mom and dad. So glad you had a great trip. :D

sadly it does NOT have a D ring but neither does her other winter jacket... so we can deal :) she can't move too fast in her winter jacket anyways :p

after i came back last year i thought i loved it so much.. lol.. now i love it even more! and especially Brooklyn... i just LOVE it there... my parents are trying to figure out how we can move there :p

it was so funny... she didn't so much look happy to see me as exhausted and relieve that i showed up... lol... we lead a pretty quiet life and i think life at her babysitters is anything but!!!

That pic of your mom and dad on the carriage ride is really good. You are so lucky to have gone to Brooklyn. I've never been there the few times I've been to NYC. What were some of the sites you saw in Brooklyn?

well sadly it rained on our bus tour of Brooklyn so we never got off the bus (it was a hop on hop off kind of thing) but we saw great neighbourhood (places i would LOVE to live) the Brooklyn Public Library is just beautiful, next time we will be going to the Botanical Gardens (we drove by and we could smell how great they were...) The Fulton market looked really great too. i know we will be back so we will definitly spend more time in Brooklyn next time! but the bus tour was So great!

Glad you had a wonderful time, and the gardens are outstanding. So much to see, isn't there? So glad your baby was okay when you were gone, and here coat & leash is beautiful.

Love the jacket!!! I only wish it would get a bit cooler here in Atlanta so we could dress like that! Bella would love an adorable jacket like that!!! :)

The pictures are really beautiful, and your Mom and Dad are a lovely couple.
Layla looks fabulous in her coat and new leash from New York City!!

I'm so glad you had a good time, and you enjoyed Brooklyn! I bet you saw Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights - all of the trendy downtown neighborhoods. The library is magnificent - the inside is incredible. Next time you come, I'll show you around Brooklyn.

By the way, I have never been on a carriage ride!

Now you're home with Layla and you can relax and enjoy the good memories.

Those pics of NYC are great! Thanks for posting them! I'd love to see more...

I love Layla's new coat and harness-the faux fur on the hood of the coat makes her look like a little snow-baby-eskimo! Super cute! The colors in that harness are great too-very hip! Layla's going to have to take a few walks to show it off!

Looks like you had a great time, but I bet you're glad to be home with Layla. I'm sure though that she had fun on her little vacation too, gettin' dirty and all!
