What Do You Think of This Puppy? 2 Attachment(s) I've have been looking for a sister/playmate for Sadie for many months. Here are a couple of pictures of a female puppy that my breeder has available and thinks would be a good match for Sadie. I'm planning on going up to see her this coming weekend (and of course bringing Sadie with me so she can give me her opinion too - :p ). She is 10 weeks old and weighs approximately 2 lbs 5 ounces. Sadie is 14 months old and weighs about 4 pounds. The breeder thinks this puppy will wind up weighing about 5 pounds, but based on the weight chart, I'm afraid that she will be more like 6 pounds as an adult and may be too big for Sadie to safely play with. What do you all think?? I desperately need your opinions!! Thanks! |
The puppy is adorable! I wouldn't worry much about the 2lb difference - yorkies are pretty tough no matter what their size and a 6lb dog is still very small. Lacy is 7lbs and plays with a couple of 3lb yorkies every day at work. |

Total cutie pie! Good luck!! |
He is very cute! I hope you have a nice visit! I think his size will be fine. In my house, we have a variety: 2.5 pounder, 5 pounder, 8 pounder and 80 pounder. Everyone plays and everyone is fine:p I do have to tell the big guy to settle down occasionally as he forgets he is not a small dog too. And sometimes I have to tell the little guy to leave the big guy alone as he likes to kiss on him incessantly  :p , other than that, we do just fine.:D |
I think she's reallly cute, and if she has a good disposition I'd go for it. |
My breeder says she's very outgoing and playful - which is good because so is Sadie. Can't wait to see her this weekend!!! |
I think she is beautiful! Perfect sister for little Sadie. |
I think she is absolutely GORGEOUS! I hope you get her! :D |

She's precious! I wouldn't worry too much about the size difference, Luna is 3lbs and Izzy is at least 7lbs, and Luna can kick Izzy's behind:laugh: |
I think she is a beautiful little girl....such expressive eyes. I wouldn't worry about her being a little bigger...since Sadie is the older one she will keep the little one in check (or at least try)..haha....the puppy will learn her boundaries with her. :) I am excited for you! |
Shes a beauty! I wouldn't worry about the size difference at all..its not a huge difference and yorkies are tougher than they look! goodluck with her! x |
Betty is about 10 lbs  and little Juju is less than 3 so far. AND Betty can get a little rough at times. But, Juju is smart...she runs under or behind things that Betty can't get to!! LOL!!! Juju will run out, wrestle with Betty for a few seconds, then run back into her sanctuary!! HAHAHA. Betty gets so annoyed and barks at her! |
I wouldn't worry about the weight difference. I have a 5 lb. female and a 1.3 lb. male right now and they goof around, but are never dangerous. I don't know how picky you are, but I noticed its ears aren't standing up. That might not be important to you, but just noting. Let us know what you decide and good luck! :D |
She is beautiful. I hope everything works out for you and your other little one;) |
Oh, she is absolutely adorable! :2hearts2: Is she related to Sadie? I think they would be great together. Any ideas for a name? |
She is soo cute!! I don't think she will be too big for Sadie. Abigail is between 8.5 and 9 pounds and Lola is only 3.5 pounds and they play really well together. :D I hope you get her. |
I think her right ear is standing up and the left one is down - but she's so young that I'm not worried about it yet. Nope, no relation to Sadie. I think I'm gonna call her Meggie. :p |
What a cutie pie!!! She is really just adorable. |

She looks so ADORABLE!! What a smoochable face!! (Smoochable ... is that even a word? lol :D) |
I personally think that she will wind up weighing more than 5 lbs, BUT - that is totally beside the point! She is super super cute and honestly, who gives a flip what she weighs! :D Size DOES NOT matter and she is just so totally precious!!! :D I say if you love her (temperament wise) then bring that sweet baby home with you!!! |
puppy Size is not the first thing I look at...temperament is!!! I have ahd many wee tinies pair up with a big, fat 7 or 8 pounder and be best of companions. I know Yorkies who are companions to Rotties. Best wishes |
What a little doll, such a cute face. I do hope you get her :animal36 |
she is very very cute:) as for size all 4 of mine weigh diff ranging from 1.5 to 7 pds and they all play good together, best to you if you decide to get her:) |
What an adorable puppy! I wouldn't worry too much about size. Bella is 3lb 2 oz at 3 months and she gives my 11 lb Maltichon, Chloe, a workout. Somestimes Chloe will jump on the couch or bed to get away from Bella. I was so scared that Bella would get hurt but they play really well together. I do keep an eye on them just to be safe. |
I think those weights would be great together. maggie is finally 6 lbs and some 4 lb dogs would be tuff for her. she isnt a very ruff little girl so I would think their sizes together would be great. i posted pics of maggie today and she is barely 6 lbs. and almost 14 months old. so i dont think she'll get any bigger. she hasnt actually gotten bigger in over 4 months just gained a little weight. so i think you'll have a pair of good play mates. But dont yet be too surprised, this one might stay smaller than the other one. its hard to tell. |
I can't help you with the size chart, but she's sure a cutie!! |
What a doll!! The size difference wont matter one bit....my 5 pound Reece and 35 pound Sadie wrestle and play in a loving nature and no one ever gets hurt..even 10 week old Soleil rough houses with Sadie...not a single wimper!! Go get that girl!! Dawn |
