Annika's coat has gotten so long

It is so beautiful I would keep it long. I would love to have one with a coat like that.

same exact thing with Buddy!
Has she ever had a long coat before?
He hasn't so I wanted to know what it would look like but summer
is coming. I worry about ticks, heat etc but I really don't want
to cut it. I will just read your answers and maybe they will help me. Good luck with whatever you deceide. I think, well they are Yorkies
and that is what I liked about them, their beautiful coat, why then
cut it? I'm just as confused

Annika has Bobbi's dream coat...........I someday hope to get there, so I am partial to the long look (sorry I am no help).

Well I have never considered putting Vixxen in a show or anything, and she's never had a haircut either She does go to the groomer though for the trim (face, feet, tail). I love Annika's coat and I wouldn't cut it, but thats just me! If you decide on a grooming, what about calling out one of those mobile groomers that come to your house so she isn't so stressed? But I say keep it if its not too much on you

I do have the really small one too . . but she gets so rattled with the noise that I have to have someone hold her to be able to do it. I should have taken advantage when my daughter was home for spring break - oh well, I will just manually cut it with scissors . . . .not as neat but oh well

yes I know it does grows back but it takes a long while so am procrastinating - this time on purpose

Carol, have never ever cut her hair yet . . she is now 13 months old.

Over here it is to humid and I don't really like to walk them when so hot so I want until it is a bit late in the PM. They only walk on my long driveway and the cul-de-sac at the bottom of my driveway. That alone is plenty of exercise for all 3 of us

Check the grooming section for more information but if you can't find any, pose the question.

Her coat is precious! But, it does take time to take care of... so, if you need to have it cut, don't feel bad, she will still look gorgeous. Plus, it's better to have it short if she wears harnesses and clothes.
