So cute!

Can you tell me how big your two girls are? I'm looking to getting something similar for my little man; he's 12.5 lbs & I'm also getting a new girl in june, so I want something they could both ride in.

WOW AND DOUBLE WOW!!!!! I'm overwhelmed at all the wonderful compliments!!! I suppose I've started everyone thinking of getting out on bikes. :D GOOD!! It's wonderful exercise, not to mention how much more fun bike riding is when your fur-kids are with you. I use to love riding, but since taking the girls with me, well I couldn't believe what a wonderful experience I had been missing.
Fun is anywhere, snow or sun, as long as the babies are with us I believe.
Ponyup, my girls are not the itsy-bitsy type. :D Zada, the really silver blond girl is 8 pounds and Azrael, my dark girl is 7. They have lots of extra room in the basket for water and such. I got this large basket just so they would have extra room, plus I love the openess of the basket to get all the breezes to stay cooler. My friend had the nylon type basket and her dog was so miserable and hot, so she ordered the basket. I'm going to make another basket pad in something a bit cooler than this fleece too! I also made a better attachment than just the leash. I took a 9" strip of bias and sewed a clip (like on leashes) at each end. That left 7", and is plenty of room. One end to hook to their travel harness and the other end to the basket. The bias is small and light, but there is no way it will ever break.

Yes, I wish now I would get some sort of discount from being a riding advertizement. :D The lady in PA. that I bought the helmets from is named Lynne Hyser. She wanted me to send her a picture too, so I did. You could just tell her you saw the picture if you want. She would be happy about the exposure I bet!

Now you guys.........I'm am going to be just way too excited to see all of you on your bikes with pupsters in baskets. :) This will be so exciting!!!

You've definitely inspired me! I was going to get one of the bike attachments that goes on the back, but i'm totally getting a basket now thanks to you! <3 I'm going to have to get one for me, and one for the fiancee for my 3 furkids :)

AKINA, my son also lives in SF, but there are lots of places that are not on a hill. :D How far away are you from the wharf road? Wonderful place to ride a bike down there.

I don't even have words to say how cute that is. I didn't know they even made bike helmets for furbabies.

I just have one word........OBSESSED!!!!!!!! Hubby and I just bought bikes and I have ALWAYS wanted to get a basket for H&H. Now I can!!!!!!! The helmets are too cute! AWESOME pics!

P.S. -- How do you keep them from jumping out of the basket?

At first I just tied their leashes to the basket, but now have taken bias and sewed the clip on each end to fasten to the harness and the other to the basket. The girls don't even attempt to jump out anyway. They LOVE riding. My husband just bought himself the classic bike, only it's bronze and is a mans classic. Now we can all ride together and I'll feel much safer.

I was totally overdressed because it's generally really cool there..........ha! I nearly died. It was so hot I could have melted pounds being naked even! :rolleyes: We are having the best time going places on the bike. For those who don't have a bike yet, get one. :D It's the best therapy yet when you take your babies with you. They love it even more than a car ride because they have front row seat! :D

FYI, I found a bike shop around me that sold the basket like the OP uses. However, it will not work on a bike with a quick release front tire (like more mountain bikes have). I am now ordering a rear basket instead, we'll see how it goes.

I was riding on the coast line on Vandenberg AFB. Not open to the public and rarely do I ever see anyone except maybe a few people down on the beaches walking around sometimes. The base has 35 miles of ocean view and it's spectacular!!!! My hubby is retired AF and is employed with Boeing here on this base. We live only 4 miles from the main gate. We prefer riding on the coastal roads because all you hear is the ocean and rarely see a car or person. A great way to rest the soul. :)

Great picture! The furbabies in their helmets had to be the talk of the town for that day! They are beyond cute. And what a gorgeous gorgeous view :) There is absolutely no better day than a day spent with a yorkie :)
