| Hi everyone need your help once again. I have male and female yorkies 1 yr old. Female has been attacking male all day today. He can't go near food or toys or she attacks him. I don't know what to do this has never happened before. He is very afraid now - he won't even come to us when we call him. He has been hiding from her all day . Anyone ever experienced this before.

| yes, i've been correcting her all day but she' still doing it especially when he gets close to food even if he's just walking by, she won't just growl but will attack him. I'm really worried she will hurt him he's only 3lbs and she's 5lbs.

| My Bella, is similiar. She's very Alpha and she does go after Newman and Noel. Never Tia though. Tia is very small and as cranky as Bella is she is also very nurturing and protective of anything smaller then she is. I'm not really sure why they do this. We've had Bella since the age of five weeks and she's always been loved, well cared for and raised to be a polite well mannered pup and she's great with people. She doesn't hurt Newman or Bella but she will "Attack" them. I've noticed it occures more at night when she's tired or cranky. I'm honestly not sure what to tell you except that I constantly correct her and she doesn't do it all the time. It goes in spurts. Based on my own experience I think that it's just their temperment. She just may be an Alpha and letting your male know it. Does she actually hurt him or does she just make a lot of noise? Bella never bites but it sure looks like she's attacking. Of course I break it up immediately. I hope it works out for you and your babies. Elaine |

| Thanks guys, Well I hope she is just pms'ng. I've had both of them since they were 12 wks old. I'm not a professional but I do know how to correct them when needed. That's why I'm so confused right now, but I know she's been grumpy @ him cuz he keeps trying to hump her. I'm not sure if she actually bites him but he does cry when she attacks him so yeah maybe she is biting.

| I'm guessing it will stop as suddenly as it started. As long as she isn't hurting him, I'd just let them work it out. |

| While I'm letting them work it out I should still correct her right? I don't know what I should do tomorrow they usually stay home alone while I'm @ work or should I separate them in different rooms?

| No she's not spayed. She's already had 1st heat cycle and she didn't behave this way. She just wanted to cuddle that time. Do they sometimes act this way when heat cycle is near?
