Eddie was scared of a moose 4 Attachment(s) My neighbor said a BIG moose walked into our frontyard when we were away and said the boys were going nuts at the window. When I returned home and let Eddie outside, he sniffed and barked at every single hoofprint. But that wasn't the end of it, as these pictures of our ensuing walk show: 1. Eddie walks unusually erect to appear taller and scare the bad moose. 2. Eddie's head snapped from side to side like a fan at a tennis match. 3. Good thing he didn't see the big, bad moose in the trees. 4. Jack was oblivious of the moose but cute anyway. |
Gosh I love these boys!! And the booties...just doesn't get cuter!! |
Eddie and Jack are sooo freaking cute, I want to gobble them up. I wish it would snow here so I could put Pete in some boots, but without the snow my bf wont let me. . . dang.:) |
hahahahahahaha OMG THAT's a huge moose and what BRAVE CRAZY yorkies you have - and those boots ROCK -omg it doesn't get any cuter than that - must be a production going outside but WELL WORTH it from the pictures WE are lucky to be able to see.....thanks for that smile - they're SO freaking cute I can just see Eddie sniffin and trackin the little snow moustash was an added bonus - man are they cute ! |
How adorable is Eddie?? I love it when yorkies are on a mission like that. It's like he's thinking "I'm gonna get that moose - oh yeah - I'm gonna bark at him and gnaw on him and I shall bring him down! YEAH!" Dougal gets that same sort of stance on when he sees cyclists! Jack is just the sweetest! I wanna hug him n squeeze him! How cool is a moose! We don't get to meet any cool wildlife on our walks. Just birds, tho Dougal has come across possum poo - and promptly rolled in it. |
I NEVER get tired of seeing photos of these handsome boys!!!!!!!! |
Wow! A moose in your front yard? How lucky can you get! Eddie looks likehe has everything under control. And Jack, well like you said, Jack is just as cute as a button..... Your photography is OUTSTANDING! Mike, how long does it take to "dress" the boys to take them outside. Looking at them all bundled up in their sweaters and snowboots, it reminded me of when the kids were young and we lived in Denver! At least you don't have to undress them so they can go pee about the time you get the last snowboot on :D |
Beautiful pictures! Your boys are wonderful! |
your boys are the most adorable dressed boys, I love the show pics with the booties:) |
I just cant get enough of those eddie and jack pictures.! And the moose was such a great added bonus. Keep the pics comming, you make me smile everytime I see your brave boys. Boots by the way are just adorable. |
:p Great pics, as usual!! Good job, Mike! Last couple of days, we have been trying to teach Toto to walk in her new winter boots! It's so hysterically funny we can hardly walk! She just has to learn because we have already had one snow and are expecting a lot soon! We bought the little leather Sherpa ones but I have ordered her some "Muttluks" and I believe she will tolerate them better! What do your boys wear? Any tips?? ;) |
Great pictures!!! I'd be terrified of a moose! That's huge!!! How much snow do you guys have? |
:) So cute! I love those boys!! Your pictures are so great!! |
Great Pictures Mike!!!!!!!     As always "Way Too Cute"!!!!!! |
Another day of smiles thanks to Eddie & Jack.....:D |
MIKe If the shoe fits wear it!:thumbs up Your Yorkies are tip top! Literally~! I have family there. Oh Yes I do! We all love you you know! We know what you do, and we apperciate you! Although we dont always show it. The people who know who you really are......truly appreciate you. :bravo: :good job: |
The calendar is coming out!? Really? |
OMG That moose is huge!!! I'd be going nuts too!!! Eddie and Jack are so cute!!!!! |
Thanks, you guys. It always blows me away to see all the cool comments! For those who asked about how long takes to bootie up, I've now got it down to a science. I can do them both in less than 5 minutes. Well, if I can catch Eddie I can do them both in five minutes. Even though he does fine with them once we're outside, he's taken to running from me the second he sees me with them. It got so bad a couple days ago that Jack and I left his obstinate butt at home and went on a walk by ourselves. It broke my heart to do it, but I think he knows I mean business now. |

How awesome to see such a large animal!!!! But,,,I'm with Eddie! I would have been scared too! How long did it take the boys to get used to wearing boots? I live in Central Mass...right in a snow belt...I would like to take the girls out in the snow but I feel bad having their little toes on the cold ground. |
Hey Mike that Moose doesn't have a chance with those boy's of your's about!! |
Alllllll right! Another chapter of "Adventures of the Alaska Yorkies"! Good job Eddie! You have the heart of a lion! Always on the lookout for anything "Bad" and protecting your family. Must be a huge comfort for Jack to know Eddie's got his back allowing Jack to romp and play without any worries! What a perfect team! |
Oh my gosh, they are the CUTEST!!!!!!!! That moose looks huge, no wonder it freaked Eddie out, lol! When I first read this, I thought it said MOUSE:O And I was thinking, geez, Yorkies were bred to catch rodents:loltears. Yep, I'm a dingbat:P |

It's sooooooo good to see you posting again after the mammoth project! I've missed you! And BLowry, it took about a week to get Eddie used to booties. Every day, I chased him down, put them on, and had him walk to me to get a treat outside. At first it was only a few steps. Finally, he just gave up. Jack did the same thing -- picking up his feet and refusing to walk -- but it only took a couple times before he gave it. Just don't overdo it. If they balk, be happy with just a few steps the first few times. |

An Eddie and Jack fix, YAY! Poor Eddie, he’s not the only one who would be scared. I would be scared out of my mind if I saw a moose in my yard. As normal, brilliant pictures, it’s so evident how much your pups are loved. |
Beautiful pictures, Mike. I just want to pick Jack up and squeeze him!! and I'm with Eddie, a big moose like that would freak me out too! |
so cute. i luv their adventures. |
