Hello Meet my new baby boy 1 Attachment(s) Hi my name is Princess, and today I adopted my newest addition to my small household. His name is Ryo. Somehow if my memory serves me right Ryo means dormitory in Japanese. I just tell everyone around here it means river(rio). But my son picked the name and thas that. I tried to name him Cleofis or Cornelious, but my son would not have it lol. He is a good boy and very quiet. he only barked once at another dog in the distance. When we went to pick him up he we sat outside and he was marking territory left and right. He is one year old and not neutered just yet. However, he hasn't pottied and has eaten very little since we came home. HE seems a lil home sick, but at the same time he loves his new brother and mommie (I don't blame him). As of now he has no behaviors that I disagree with because he is just so darn calm. I am just wondering how imma do ma man's hair lol he has a lot! And as you can see from the pick.... His right ear is in a world of its own. But isn't he gorgeous. HE was paper trained.... But I thought I would never say this but by morning I will be so happy if he Does #1 or #2 on my floor, just so I know he feels comfy is OK and knows this is his home now. oh and he is maybe 3 pounds heavier than he should be. but funny thing just happened now we were watching television and commercial comes on and he perks up and walks over to the TV and tries to eat a plate of fish and veggies on a table in the commercial.... and he keeps licking my hands and fingers and my sons as well, but will hardly touch his food. weird huh? I am done talking for now lol Kisses!:p |
Awww he is cute:D |
awwww he is a cutie! How handsome is that! Congrats on getting him, I'm sure in a few days he will be adjusted and will be playing around! ohh and welcome to YT!!!!!!! |
He is very handsome. :congrats: on getting him :D |
He is so very handsome. I love his coloring. And his hair looks so shiny and he is so well groomed. WOW. I think you have been blessed. |
Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you for all four of you wonderful comments. He is a was a Parkside Yorkie of Ms Marie Kaufman Cardona, Now he is a member of the Princess's royal court lol. Yeah i got lucky because she was the only breeder listed that lived in Puerto Rico... i didnt really care about the pedigree as much as i wanted a healthy new baby, u know. She said he would have been a show dog but he was just too big. She showed me a few Yorkies and he was even bigging than another 2 year old male. She told me if i feed him like normal and no extra he should even out, but i dont care, i do know someone musta been spoiling big boy. HE is so heavy i cant see any reason for me to even buy one of those bags to sneak him any where.... if i try i will get busted because someone will see me strugling lol. And LIke i said before.... The ear thing is killin me because now he is scratchin at it lol i dont think that tape will make it through the night. |
He is gorgeous!! Congrats and welcome to YT :) :) :) |

Ma boy went pee this morning so I feel better. Marie from Parkside said that he may not eat for a few days... but when he gets used to his new home his appetite will come back. I know how he feels because when i go to NY i get home sick a lose my appetite if i stay too long especially when i stay in a hotel alone in the city..... |
Oh okay...my brother lives in Guaynabo not too far from Carolina. Once your baby adjust to his new surroundings he will come around and start eating. I think they all do it until they get used to everything. Good Luck! |
Awww....he is sooo cute! Congrats! :cheer: |

He is a handsome guy! Looks like he feels right at home. |
What a stud! Very handsome:) |
Welcome!!! You've got a handsome furbaby! |
Cute boy!!! Well "Ryo" can mean "dormitory" or "Good" depending on the Chinese character you choose!!!! I'd say he is a "Good" boy that is why his name is Ryo-kun. (kun is for boys in Japanese. Chan is for girl, like Kitty-Chan from Hello Kitty.) |

Funny you mentioned the meaning tough. I pulled out my dictionaries when i was talking to my friend in Japan this morning trying to find mutiple meanings so i could at least put a good meaning to his new name. We just decided to call him yasui ryoko (peaceful journey) so at least we could add a little meaning to his name and make it fit his charactor a lil better. That way my son can still call him Ryo for short! lol My friend is also gonna get him a Kanji dog tag to fit! I am excited! Kisses |
very goegeous boy you have. and welcome to yt! I cant wait to see more pics of him. |
Thanks very much everyone |

What a pretty boy! I love his coloring! I have a 10 week old baby boy and I hope his coloring is going to be similar to your baby's. |
aww hes so cuteee I love his hair:wub: oh and welcome to YT! |
he is very pretty. |
Ryo is beautiful!!!!!!! |
Thanks again you guys are awsome. Well I been allowing him to go potty on my back patio outside. I was gonna do the parer thing, and i just dont want to have the possiblity of attracting any insects inside. I mean here in Puerto rico you constantly have ants mosquitos and all that. My house is pretty clean so i dont wanna jinx it. The first day my son dropped a few pieces of dog food on the floor and about two hours later there was about a million lil ants making a soul train line from the lil pieces of dogfood to the front door. Boy i tell ya. he still hasnt really eaten yet, but he is drinkin and peeing so i guess thas a good thing. and I think he loved his Momma, probably because she is so sexy? i dunno Once he starts eating right i will be ok. Yesterday i had issues with his top knot and found that Yorkies like to mess uo thier hair. I was encourage through a thread in the grooming section to make try cornrolls and i did. I too pics of the three cornrolls i did and then 3 seconds later he messed 2 of the cornrols up. Anyone wanna see the pics i can email them. they are really cute. I keep tellin everyone Ryo is like the daughter i never had, even though he is a boy. God Bless KISSES! any cool dog collars online. has anyone seen and really really cool ones on that dont look girlie? |
i want to seeeeee. here are some collars that are nice i have one for each of my yorkies http://www.leatheruniques.com/page9.html |

He is he really looks like a giant Yorkie in this pic. I just took him to my neighbors house and he was running around thier lil yard. THen she told me to stop because there was bugs in the grass that bit??? I think she meant chiggers and they are everywhere, but i obliged her and took him off of the grass. She meant well and i felt bad about taking him out of the grass because he looked like he was having soooooooo much fun. Her grand daughter was like oh i wanna see the puppy oh, i wanna see the puppy, so I brought him over to visit . I woke him up to bring him over, and i soon as i get there they start nit pickin at him... that is no annoying...first she said "he is going to stink you are going to have to wash him a lot he looks dirty.... then she said you gonna get his hair timmed right? and oh and someone esle said dont carry him so muy he will get lazy :( geez as you can see in the pic he is pretty clean and he was just groomed as well. Its like noone understands what a great Yorkie i have and the research i did to make sure i adopted a good pet or even the rules of limited registration and getting him neutered. I Dont care because they will see in the end that my baby boy is the sexiest dog on the block and if his lil ear won't stand up straight on his lil head then i bet he will set a trend in PR and all dogs of all breads will be tryin to sport the one ear up one ear down look this winter! |
