Introducing the Man Stroller 2 Attachment(s) I've been trying to find a way to combine two of my passions, bike riding and Yorkies, without looking too much like a sissy. We took a slow, tentative ride to the park, and they were willing, not exactly ecstatic, but willing. I'm thinking I could harness them in for short trips or use a carrier inside the trailer for a longer trip. Or maybe it's just a silly man idea. What do you think? |
I think it's a wonderful idea as long as you have them secured in there. CUTE! |
I love it !!!!!! They look great!!!! |
I think its great... And with some many bike trails up there, it will be great. How are you thinking of harnessing them in? We used to take our yorkies and put them in the child wagon (enclosed) with our daughter... now that she is old enough and wants to ride her self, were not sure how we could take them |

1 Attachment(s) Great idea! This is what people use here for taking their dogs for a bike ride. |
Let me know if you come up with something that works... our male swears he's a lab and likes to jump out. Thats why it was great having him enclosed... We love to go biking so when the weather cools off here and we can handle it we'll head out and see if there are trails!! |
Chelsey that's what ours looked like but it was yellow and had two seat belts for kids.!! |
I don't think it's a silly idea at all...in fact...we see a lot of people pulling those nylon kid containers (I really don't know what they're called!) behind their bikes but they have their dogs in them. I'll have one for the boys when we get our new bikes. |

That's right, we get them for kids and dogs. Some people have basket kind of carriers that they attach in front of the stearing wheels and other dog baskets that they fasten on the back seat of the bike, they all get attached with hooks to the harness. The one in the pic, sells specially for dogs, big and small, they have hooks on the inside like we see in our regular carriers, to attach to the harness. (for safety) |

We have a basket, and it worked great the first year. But this year, Miss Ginger thinks she should try to jump out the whole time...doesn't lead to a very pleasant riding experience for either of us! Alaska Yorkie - your man stroller is pretty darn impressive! |

There is a man by us that does his food shopping in the bike trailer. I have a small westbend crate and although I never stopped the man while he was shopping, it looks to me that my crate would fit right in his trailer. Just an idea (btoh my Yorkies fit in the small crate comfortably) |
LOLOLOL !!!!!!! THAT IS FREAKING GREAT !   You are so funny Mike - you could market those and those little dolls going for a ride is too cute for words ! The Man Stroller - LOL !!!:D :D :D :D |
Gingergirlsmom: Here is a link, i see you can "choose your location" so, i'm guessing, it's an international site. If you can't find what you looking for, let me know, i'll try something else. http://www.doggyride.com/doggyride/Home.aspx |
That looks pretty sweet, Mike! Pretty manly looking! |

How about a doggie bike basket? 1 Attachment(s) Does anyone have any experience with such a thing? Especially the Yorkies on the smaller side.... I'm thinking what it's better to use with my boy. Any advice? http://cgi.ebay.com/PET-DOG-BIKE-BIC...QQcmdZViewItem |

That is way to cool. If I saws someone riding down the street with that it would definitely make me smile. |

Its a great idea but something like this looks safer: http://www.petedge.com/shopping/prod...ctID=5300&AS=1 (and it even pictured with a GUY! So you know its masculine! lol ;)) |

Yes, I have that and it worked great with Ginger last year. Now this year, she keeps trying to jump out:eek: . Even though she can't, it sure makes for a miserable ride. I'm not sure why she started doing that, but we've had to quit taking her along. Mike, I love the man-stroller, but like the idea of it being enclosed |
Great job, looks like your boys like it. |
That's just the cutest (in the manliest of ways, of course!!). I bet the boys'll love it once they're secured in there and can feel the wind whistling through the hair when you're going at speed! If that was my Dougal baby I'd be worried that he'd jump out every time I came to a stop. |
