Everyone, MEET MARLEY! Well today was the day to go and visit Marley, and (no suprise) we took him home! He's doing great and has really gotten comfy and adjusted well here at home and did great on the ride home, too! (He gets carsick) He's wearing a belly band because he's not pody trained just yet. He's just plain adorable and about 10lbs - AND OH MY GOSH he does NOT look like he does in his picture on the website. He looks similiar but if you really see him he looks much cuter. Pictures do him no justice! :p I'm so happy! I've had him for about 2 hours now.. I'm a yorkie momma again - yay! :) Here's some pics (Sorry there aren't many, he loves to just run around!!! Thanks Megan! He's such a good boy, we're probably going to re-name him because my mom isn't too crazy about the name Marley, plus he doesn't really even respond to it ;) We're thinking Georgie or Teddy.. maybe Ripley. We really don't know yet! Everypne likes Teddy though sooo we're still thinking about it. We're trying to teach him to come and I think he's getting the hang of it already! |

Thanks everyone! He has adjusted quite well but right now he's taking little naps. Sadly he just got a little homesick so we're giving him some more time to adjust :) I've thought of a few names I like.. Teddy, Woody, and Chip! I don't know which one I like the most. I will probably think of some more soon. Gosh I can't wait, tomorrow we're going to go get him some food and a few toys! Wahoo! Right now he's eating Sally's food (Aust.Cattledog) its a little big for him but he doesn't seem to mind at all. :rolleyes: Of course tomorrow we'll get him proper food. Does anyone know how to get these tears stains off his gorgeous face? We tried the usual eye whipes but they aren't working.. Any tips? Thanks! :D |

Today Marley and I (mom too!) went to our local pet store and Marley got a rawhide (sp?) stick, and Sally got a huge one too! I pet Marley when he was chewing on it when we got home and he growled at me! I told him NO and kept petting him (he wasn't snapping) and he stopped. I guess he was defending his food, maybe I should've left him alone. Anyway, we were at the pet store and this nice man walks up and tells me how cute Marley is and he told me that his poor yorkie passed away because he/she got bit by a rattle snake :eek::( :( Poor yorkie! He looked sad and told me to promise him i'd take good care of Marley. I did of course! :D We also got Marley a harness and some yummy food! When we first got there he decided to take a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig poopie and my mom had to clean it up :p They didn't have any bellybands though and we're in desperate need of another one because his gets wet somehow!?!? (dont worry we put the pads in there) Soooo does anyone have some/know some places to get cheap ones that work well? Thanks :D I'll get some more pics up later! :) |

Thanks!!! I hope he enjoys his new home, too! He's very cute, but he sticks his ears back all the time :rolleyes: He loves his belly band! We need some more though. We might keep the name Marley, it fits with his personality. Ohh he's not a yorkie puppy, but he is about 2 years old. (on the website it says he's 4 but on his vet papers it says he's 2, sooo.. who knows?!?! He acts young) Also yes he's a rescue pup, if you want to see where he's from check out http://www.littlebowwowrescue.com/dogs.html He's fitting in really well and him and Sally are getting to be great buds! They became friends right away like they already knew eachother. At first I think Sally thought he was Buddy :( But she figured it out. |
