She is such a doll! Looking at Yorkie pictures just makes me smile from ear to ear. It also makes me want to have more Yorkies! |
What a doll she is. Hope you don't mind me asking where you got her. She is so cute... :) |
Cookie sure is cute! She is a nice Yorkie! I have a cookie she due to have babies at any time! I love them all! Lily from Indiana |
So cute! She has such a nice black coat. It will get lighter as she ages a bit. Bilingual! That's too darn smart! :P |
I love all of the great pics! Cookie is adorable. My favorite is the one where she is standing or dancing licking your finger. |
Hey y'all, LOL! :D Both Cookie and I appreciate all the great compliments...Yeah she's my cutieputootie....She has quite the little lady personality ;) Quote:
Actually when my boyfriend's aunt met Cookie she fell in love w/ her so much that a week later she had her own Yorkie baby. BTW, my boyfriend calls himself Cookie's daddy! :D His aunt went to the same place and she got a male...so Cookie has a cousin Cody whom she plays with occasionally. I'm telling you I never had a doggie before but these little angels sure do know how to tug at everyone's heart. -RubyC |

She is soooooooo gorgeous!!! oh WoW RubyC, Cookie is adorable!!!! love her hair... Oh may I wanna have another yorkie! :p love her, -R |
Hey Raiza, Did you change ur Avatar picture? I don't know, looks different to me. Is Cosita's hair color changing yet? Cookie's hair color is changing at the base of her ears and the roots of the hair on top of her head. I wonder what their color will end up being? -RubyC |
Hi Ruby, no I haven't.. I took that pic when Cosita was 13 weeks. No, Cosita's color is not changing yet, but it is sure growing. Wait, now that I look at her more, I think it is changing some at the roots of the top of her head..... but it is definitely growing. She still looks like a puppy, but there are sometimes that she is starting to look like girl.. if u know what i mean. These last couple of days she hasn't eating much. I left out of town Thursday evening, and packing and staying out maybe has kind of thrown Cosita off schedule. I get worry when I don't see appetite... yesterday I fed her a kible after another one by hand and that is how she ate. But she is still sparkly and has not slowed down a bit. Do you think that is normal? -R |
I do think that is normal, Raiza. Some days Higgins just gobbles up any and all food that is put down for him and other days he just picks, picks, picks. But he's just as active as ever. I think there are days when they are just like us.....gobble, gobble or pick, pick. (Though to look at me, you'd know right away that I mostly gobble gobble... ;) ) I think they activity is the key. I've noticed that when they don't feel well, you can really tell by the decrease in activity and general mopeyness. |
Cookie is too cute ! My Bailee was born 4/27. Bailee looks a bit awkward though. Kinda stringy hair, her mom Brandi's hair was stringy at her age too, but now she has nice soft fine hair. Kinda like the ugly duckling! LOL. She is SOOO toeheaded on the top of her head and her chest it looks white! LOL. Brandi, Bailee's mom is my avatar Cindy |
Thanks Brandi, thanks Higgin, Well, we are back and Cosita is eating more.. She is starting to eat only once a day... don't know, Vet told me she should be eating 3 times a day. Yea, their activity is the key..and she seems pretty active .. sometimes too much. Bailee is 4/27!! mine is 4/29.. I think Cookie is 4/10 .. quite bit of Aprils huh?!! -R :)  :p ;) :D :o Ah ... Yoda 4/23 |
April for Yoda too! 4/23! :) Good to hear about Cosita! They usually eat more as they are younger, as Yoda is generally down to twice a day... |
Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get together to celebrate their birthdays.... :D Raiza: I'm glad to hear Cosita is eating better. They need to eat to keep up their energy. Well Cookie is the one that is not eating very well now. :( She started teething so I'm sure the discomfort that it comes along with is to blame. She will be 5 months this Sun. so I guess its about that time. She looks adorable with the little gap, her 2 front bottom teeth are missing. ;) Anyone else going through the teething stages with their furbaby? Any recommendations from those of you that have gone through this stage with your baby? :D  -RubyC |
All of Higgins baby teeth were firmly implanted, with no sign of adult teeth emerging, when he was neutered at 5 months. So, they didn't take any out. About 1 month later ALL the adult teeth arrived. And all the baby teeth came out (never found any, though), EXCEPT the four canines. Well, he is now 8 1/2 months old, so the vet is going to remove the baby canines tomorrow. It means anesthesia, and even though he didn't have a problem last time, it worries me. I'll be in here biting my fingernails until he's "out." The tell me that it goes really, really fast so not to worry. |
Toto's baby teeth had to be removed when she was spayed. She shed very few of the baby ones before they were removed! Poor baby had a big mouth full of teeth for a while and just drooled something terrible while she was teething! :) We bought some of those little infant "finger" toothbrushes and would sit and massage her little gums and it helped. We also made sure she had plenty of chew toys and she did lots of gnawing! ;) |

Higgy did just great! He has a little cough, but I expect that is from the anesthesia. You wouldn't know he had anything done! Now it helps that we are taking care of our Grandpuppy, Princess, the long-haired Chihuahua, while my son and his bride are on a cruise. (Hoping they are well away from the new tropical storm, Jean!) These two LOVE each other and run and romp and play all day. They are sooooo cute together! She is mostly white with brown markings -- very attractive, and a beautiful coat -- so she looks like a little princess next to my rough, tough wiry little devil. They are exactly the same size, although she is much lighter than Higgins. Higgins will be devastated when she goes home! Bettyeanne, I'm so worried about you and Ivan The Terrible! Our prayers are with you and your family that all will be well and you won't have any damage. PLEASE KEEP US POSTED! Love and hugs, m.e. |
I think she is so cute. It makes me want to get another yorkie. I just think they are great dogs. |

Now ... about Ivan ... although we are in east central Alabama we really dread this! Our prayers are with everyone who are closer to the Gulf but we are expecting some really bad weather here. Patrick wanted to hook up the Casita and get as far as we could from here and I would have readily agreed ... but ... I can't leave my Mom and there's no way we could take her that distance! By 6pm Thursday our local weather man just said to expect 60-90 mile winds!! THAT could take out the mighty oak in our front yard!! We have already made preparations ... water, food, flashlights, Yorkie, etc. We have the Casita all charged up and ready ... if we lose power [and they are sure we will] we can at least have lights and stuff in there! Cindy and I have made sure that we have plenty of portable oxygen, meds, etc. for Mother ... the only thing we worry about is if it gets really hot .. she cannot breathe if she gets hot and she really panics! We will all be focused on her so I feel confident she will be fine! Patrick and my son have lots of propane tanks for their grills so the "men" will cook [thank God for covered outdoor cooking areas!]! :) At any rate ... we have pretty much done everything that we can do ... schools here will be closed Thursday and Friday. It's in God's hands now so pray that there will be no lives lost!! We love you guys!! ;) |
Bettye.....Don't you and Patrick have a Honda 2000 generator? If you do, it will operate the Casita air conditioning just fine. That could keep your mother cool........Just get in a supply of gasoline to keep it running. At least we have the Casitas! It's nice to know that when things are threatening. We are glued to CNN and sending up prayers for you. If you get a chance, before the big winds take down phone lines, give us a call and let us know how it's going..... Love and hugs to all of you! M.E. and Don |
I am glad that all went well w/ little Higgins. Puppy hugs from Cookie. ;) |

Much love to you, Don and the "boys"! We will call you tomorrow!! ;) |
We're hoping for the best for ya bettyeanne, and Don and Toto, too! |
If you can read this, you've got POWER! And I sure hope you do and that you and your family are all SAFE! We spent last December at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL, and it is just awful to see the devastation there. It makes it so much more personal when you have enjoyed visiting such a lovely place and then it is so damaged. There are so many beautiful trees in that park that must be so torn apart..... Love that whole coast! Dang! Go away, Ivan, and leave my friends alone!!!! Love and hugs to you and Patrick and Toto, from me and Don and Higgins and Pogo! |
Cookie sure looks pretty in her red dress. cute as a button. |
Cookie is a real cookie...she is beautiful.. I got Gucci in Bklyn NY too... she has the same coloring as Cookie. Gucci has greyish strands on top, does that mean her color will change? Gucci was born June 22, 04 and she weighs 4.5 pds. I feed her 3x a day and dry food only.. How much are you suppose to give these dogs. I don't want to over or underfeed? I usually give her a handful she loves her food... |
