| Despite all my worrying, the neutering went very well. The "E-Collar" was weird to him at first, but I kept it on and he is now totally used to it - it's surprising how adaptive these doggies are. I took it off once to wash his face and clean the collar and he went right for the stitches. He does seem to be in a bit of pain - they also took out his 2 baby canine teeth while he was under - so I have pain medication. The best advice I can give is to have a great vet that will talk to you about your concerns, talk about how they use anesthesia, see if your pup needs to have any teeth pulled at the same time, and talk about pain management for your guy. In my opinion if your vet gives you any problem talking about any of that, ditch him or her! :-) Good luck! It's definitely not easy - my other advice is schedule it on a Friday or when you know you're going to be able to be home with him for at least 2 days after the procedure. |

| Aww! What a cutie!!! Hope he feels better soon! Oscar never missed a beat when he was neutered and had 6 teeth pulled. We tried to keep him calm but failed miserably!
