both my boys are fixed, and i agree with everyone, it really does make them happier and healthier. if they arent fixed and arent allowed to breed they are like penned up stallions (NOT happy campers) and that second picture is SO cute, he looks embarassed:p

Jesus they can make anything. Personally I don't find them to be a necessary thing...lol. I can just imagine buying these things.:D

ps: Tucker was neutered at 6 months, still pees everywhere. Now he wears that MANLY belly band!

When I got Dougal neutered my DH made me ask the vet about neuticles, when I found out the price I said no way in heck! Then after the surgery my DH was lovin the dougal up, making sure he was comfortable and so on and so forth. (Normally DH is all about the Evil Wee and not too fussed about Dougal.)

But it's quite good that he got them removed - Evil Wee would bite them if Dougal was bugging her, or even if he just seemed like he was enjoying life too much. Hence her nickname!!

That bulge that feels and looks like testicles when your dog has an erection is called I think the bulbis glandis. Here is a site that shows it (***GRAPHIC***) I think its purpose it to keep the penis inside the female until matting is over and the penis goes down.

Buddy got neutered today - I am keeping him in his nice soft crate and carrying him around with me. With my luck he'll get infected otherwise. He looks so cute in his cone!!:aimeeyork

I just saw the vasectomy comment. Long ago I had an Irish Setter male who was cryptoid. Hubby (boyfriend at the time) just couldn't bear the idea of Joshua losing his "boyballs" :D so...... Our vet did remove the testical that was retained, AND..... did a vasectomy on the other one so he couldn't reporduce..... LOL As far we know, Joshua was the ONLY canine Vasectomy that Dr. ever did! LOL
