My Little Elphie
 
Hi guys I just posted in another thread, but I have recently found this site. . . and am glad to see other yorkie enthusiasts! Allow me to introduct my little girl. . . her name is Elphie and she was born on September 11, 2005 (crazy date I know!). I've had her for about 7 months now and am absolutely in love with her! Elphie recently made her print debut when she posed for The Preppy Pet. . . a local doggie grooming salon in their advertisement in the newspaper I work for! I'll post the picture from the office tomorrow, but for now that's Elph on my avatar. I got her name from Wicked, the Broadway musical which is my favorite musical. Elphaba or "Elphie" as she is nicknamed in the show is the lead role.

Welcome to YT!! Your little girl is gorgeous!! When I read the thing about "wicked" I automatically thought of MeganS!! She loves that musical, you two should have a lot in common lol. I'm so glad you're here I hope you have a ton of fun!

Yes, this is a wonderful site for anyone who wants to brag about their babies. And in our eyes they are the most goodlooking yorkies . . . . no one would take my Tiger and make him a model so I decided to have an online store just so he can be one :D :D :D

Awwww, now I'm just (selfishly!) bummed, cuz I was looking for a name noone else had around here, and was thinking of naming my baby this! Except, I was thinking more along the lines of "Elfin/Elfie".

Can't BELIEVE I didn't think of it in terms of "Elphie", cuz I'm a huge "Wicked" fan, too!!!

Congrats on such a sweet baby, such a great name, and on discovering YT! Lots of fun and information here, for sure!

ah so cool!

I so would've named my dog something to do with Wicked. Boq or Fiyero. but there were 2 things in my way: 1: I hadn't heard of Wicked when we got him 2: my mom would think I'm more insane than she already does. ;)

Oh she is absolutly adorable! Did Megan tell you that Eden Espenosa(the current Elphaba on Broadway) has a yorkie? His name is Owen. She had him in her bag when we met her and we had a conversation about what sweet dogs yorkies are!

Well now I'm officially jealous that you got to meet the current Elphie! LOL However, I do think that the original cast was my favorite. There's just something about the original! HAHA! Although I do think the current cast does a great job. . . but how could you not when you've got such great material to work with!

I'd say my favorite casts are with Shoshana Bean - Elphaba and Megan Hilty - Glinda. and Eden Espinosa and Megan. :)

I LOVE her new dress! it's adorable!! I want a little girl puppy...lol
