Hi,

I'm so glad to have found this forum. Kirby is a new addition to my life, I've had him one week. I got him from United Yorkie Rescue, a great organization by the way, he is a Yorkie/Scottie mix, or so the Vet thinks, he's about 6-8 months old and we are working on house training.

He is the cutest dog I've evver seen in my life (no offense to all of you who also happen to have the cutest dog in the world :) he loves to play and sit on my lap. I think sitting on my lap on the couch is his absolute favorite thing in the entire world.

He also has a little seperation anxiety that we are working on. He can't stand for me to be out of his sight, especially on the other side of a door, he goes nuts and barks and digs and scratches at the door, but we are working on it.

Well, again, I'm glad to have found this forum, I'm sure I'll learn a lot.

P.S. How do you make those cool avatar pics that rotate several pics, I was going to put up an avatar but couldn't decide which picture, so that would be great!

Welcome to YT. Kirby is adorable.

They use an animastion program to do it. there used to be a site to download it free, but they have taken Paintshop Pro off of the site.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! And, Okay Pam, I don't need a second invitation to share more pics of Kirby. Fagan is really cute too! ALL Yorkies are just too darn cute for words!

Kirby's not a full blood yorkie (so I hope we can still be a part of the forum :D ) , but I think its the dominant breed and it sure makes a cute mix whatever the other half is.

Welcome aboard! I joined this family early March of this year. It's awesome here. They are all so friendly. Your furbaby is sooo cute! I got my furbaby from the breeder. She's 7 years old. Iam also wondering how I can put my baby's picture next to my user's name. I kinda admire those flashing pictures of you guys too.
Anyway, my dog was not potty trained when I got her last Feb. 2. Imagine, you would think it's so hard to teach an old dog new tricks. It's so wrong because my furbaby started at the bottom...zero but she catches on so fast and have learned a lot. I think that Yorkies are very intelligent.
Keep on loving your baby. It's so worth it!

Kirby is a handsome fella. Seperation anxiety is pretty much the norm. Best of luck with the potty training...GRRRRRR!

I have 3 yorkies, Gracie who is a little over 2 years, Rebel who is 11 months and his nick name is Rebel the Devil and London who is 4 1/2 months and is out of my Gracie.

You'll meet lots of nice people here so kick your shoes off and make yourself right at home! :D

Thanks again for the great welcome, wow! I do feel right at home. It's nice to know there are other people as nuts about their pups as I am. You can only GUSH so much to your non-dog (especially non-Yorkie) friends before they think you've completely lost it :dribble: Kind of like watching a couple make out in puplic or something, except in this case its a dog and grown man talking baby talk, :rollingey LOL

You're too funny!!!!! Yuppers...my friends that aren't members here think that I'm absolutely nuts. When I call them up and only want to talk about yorkies...all of a sudden, they have laundry to do, a closet to clean out or a cake to bake for their grandmother that's been dead for over a year. :rolleyes: That's when I just come here. At least others share my passion for them! :D

He is absolutely Adorable. I can't wait to see how he looks as an adult. if he will get the full yorkie coat.

Welcome Steve and Kirby! He is such a cutie and hats off to you for getting a rescue! Good job!!! I am Debbie and my Yorkie is Oscar...I love him to bits. Kirby is sure a good looking little man...was that a dead cat I saw in one of your photos??? Did Kirby kill that cat!!! :eek:

Hope you love it here, but I am sure you will. Never be afraid to ask questions. This is a huge forum and somebody will know the answer! They always do!!! An earlier post asked what you would call a Yorkie/Scottie mix...that is a tuffie...how about a Yottie?!?!?!!!!!! He looks like a Yottie, but whatever he is, he is always welcome here!!! We would love to see more pics so keep em coming!!!

LOL, yep he did kill it! He thrashes it about like crazy! It's actually a 'revenge kitty' from Petsmart. He really does like cats just fine, my parents have two cats and he gets along with them great. LOL

And yes, I think he is a Yottie, thats exactly what I was going to say. Either that or Scorkie! :D

The chances of it becoming an official breed are slim, at least from his blood line anyway, he was neutered about 3 weeks ago. Yikes! I guess that makes men cringe a lot more than women, for obvious reasons, ouch! LOL.

:D Yep...Oscar did not seem to mind tho...once the anesthesia wore off, he was his old crazy self...bouncing off the walls and anything else that got under his feet! His incision was closed by what looked like wires :eek: but he never licked them or acted like they hurt. Trust me, it is harder on us females!!! :rolleyes: But yeah, just thinking about it...oh my!!!

Welcome, looks like your yottie/schorkie is fitting into your house hold just fine. I too have a mixed, a yorkipoo, and I always feel welcome here and you get alot of info, so happy yapping.
