Why do they call me teacup??

We spent Saturday and Sunday in Canton, Texas at the Canton First Monday Trade Days. (For those not in Texas, this is a huge trade days with about 7000 vendors!) Well poor Magic spent the weekend answering the question...."Is she a teacup??" So when we got home, we took these pictures and Magic wants to ask all her Yorkie friends...."Am I a teacup?" because she sure does not fit in one...nor does she look like one!!

Sorry....not trying to start any serious discussion! Just a laugh!!!

PS...For those that dont know...Magic is 16 months and 5 pounds.

hehe, she's adorable!!! For the first time ever today someone asked me if Tucker was a teacup. I got a good laugh out of it considering he is almost 10 pounds.

God, I hear the same thing all the time too!!!! Even from the nurse at the vet's office last week! AAAAHHHHH! :eek:

She sure doesn't look like a teacup! I have never seen a teacup with hair!

Oooh I love going to Canton! I've only been once, but it was alot of fun (and exercise!). I don't get the teacup question, but I have had people ask if Gracie is a "toy" Yorkie....duh? Yorkies are a toy breed according to AKC...anyway, people just don't know. I guess they're just curious.

She is a cutie, good thing she doesn't REALLY look like a teacup. They aren't quite as soft and cuddly as Yorkies.
I used to get the same question about Macey, who was around Magic's size. I never understood it. One time I got the question from a lady who said she had two standard sized Yorkies at 5 pounds. I was so confused because Macey almost weighed 5 pounds!

lol..shes adorable!! Luckily she looks nothing like that teacup!! :D I often get asked if Lady is a dwarf (spanish expression for tea-cup) yorkie..because you see,here we dont only have dwarf yorkies,we have 4 "breeds" of yorkies! We have dwarf yorkies,medium yorkies,standard yorkies,Oh! and of course short haired yorkies (this term is for those who dont understand that yorkies DO get haircuts! lol).Its all pretty stupid but luckily,more and more people realise that there are no such thing:D

It's ok, Magic, honey. Don't pay any attention to those silly people who don't know anything about Yorkies. You are the perect size!!

Well my 3yr old was standing here while I looked at the pictures & I asked her if she looked like a teacup and her reply was "No Mommy, she's a puppy! :) So, even a 3 year old can tell the difference... :rolleyes: :D

haha I love your post and the pics of your girl are so sweet! Her look really says, "Why are these people asking if I am a teacup.. I don't look like a teacup.. Atleast I don't think I do.." lol Thanks for the laugh!

Little Magic is precious! :) The question we get more than the "teacup" one about our little chubby 4 pounder, is ... "ah, she's a puppy, how old"? I think that's too funny because at, 2 1/2 years, she looks so mature to us!! Go figure! ;)

We get that question a lot too. We think the same think with lil bear she's 7 and looks mature to us but we always have people say what a cute puppy how old? We say 7, sometimes we get oh 7months we say no 7yrs and then they ask us if we are sure!!! well it's our dog

When moose and lil bear are out together everyone thinks moose is lil bears mom, they could be knocked over with a feather when I say no moose is a yorkie-poo and is a yr old and lil bear is a yorkie and is 7yrs. Just cause moose is talled they automatically think moose is older. The only people who usually don't have a problem are fellow yorkie owners. Though I did have one lady come up to me once when we just had lil bear she was a year or so and the lady started to point out all of her flaws...floppy ears, legs, hair cut, ect. I was about the deck the lady.

They call you a tea cup because you are a little cutie pie! Sorry, you don't look like a pie either. LOL Huummm how bout adorable?,,,,,,,,
