thanks im so excited so was playing this time when I went and saw her. she was way to cute!! |
When I saw my girls they started showing their personalities. Shiny is energetic and playful, and Wink is laid back and just wants to cuddle and be loved on. I think they will even each other out nicely. I can't wait to see pics of when you get to bring her home! |
when do you bring your girls home? |
The sixth at the earliest. But if there is any issues they will go back with mom for a little longer. I'm very excited! |
Molly is a lucky girl! You have thought of everything. Lots of love and luck to you! |
aww thank you :).. waiting is so hard how old will your girls be when you bring them home? |
They will be almost 9 weeks old. |
Molly as well :) |
I have a little girl coming on the 7th too, and she will be 8 weeks on the 8th! She is a YorkiePoo and her name is going to be Hope! She is coming from Florida, so I just got to see pictures. I'm so anxious and excited! Can't wait. Have any of you guys thought about pet insurance? I decided to get one for my little girl, but all the information seems so confunsing about what it should cover or not. Any advice about any company? Also, I have to take her to a vet in her first days at home, anyone from Boston area to reccomend someone? Thank you so much, and I'm glad to join a forum with new moms to be like me :))) |
Congrats Yorkiepoo Mommy! I want to get insurance on my girls as well and I'm still looking at policies and I agree so confusing. I have some friends who live in Brockton I'll ask them who they use as a vet I'm sure he uses one in Boston. |
aww congrats :) |
Hello to everyone that has posted here. To Molly's mom, she is so cute! I am also a new Yorkie mommy. I got Duncan for Christmas. Unfortunately, we didn't know where to buy one and I got my Duncan at a pet store here in the area. He did have kennel cough when I got him but the pet store paid for him to go to the vet and for his treatment. He is fine and super dandy now :) Duncan is 15 weeks old now and let me tell you, this has been a real learning experience. I have a 12 year old dachshund now who, when I got as a puppy and was trained by, at the time, my 4 year old dalmation (RIP Tuki). Duncan is completely different. He is a ball of fire. I call him my 'wild little man'. He is a big dog in a little body. When we go to puppy training classes, he hangs out and plays with the boxers, labs and german shepherds instead of the other yorkies. I keep him in a play pen during the day when I am at work which he loves. I like the idea of a clothes basket for a car seat and will try that because he is getting hard to hold when we go places. I saw someone mention a "revolution", what is that? Duncan is already 7 lbs at 15 weeks old which surprises me. I thought all Yorkies were tiny dogs  Does anyone have any idea how big he will end up being? I have no idea how big his parents were although I have the breeders' names and their phone numbers and I guess I could call them. I am so excited to find this community to learn about yorkies. I am enjoying reading all these tips in here. |
I too, am a new Yorkie Mom. I, however have had my little Ryder for about 4 months now.... I can't imagine life without him. I only want the best for him as all of us Moms do, which brings me to my question. My breeder had him on Royal Canin Yorkie Puppy which I thought was a great brand, however I took him to the groomer yesterday and she told me Ryder has very dry skin and it may be associated with his food. I told her I was giving him a good quality food which was made for Yorkies. Come to find out Royal Canin is full of fillers...I had no idea!!! Proof that one of the more expensive brands are not necessarily the best. Had I read the label, I would have known but I just kept him on what his breeder fed him. He seems to do well on this food, but there are better options out there. I've heard of Taste of the Wild.... Any thoughts on that brand? |
