Thanks I have raised two from eight weeks old so I am not a newbie. He won't be going outside for at least six weeks and with the vets approval. He is eating well on his own dry food and has had no hypoglycemic episodes. I have nutrical on hand and will give over the next few days to avoid stress. He will get his rest here which he was not getting with the litter mates. The breeder has been having her 3 lb female play with the pups to teach. He is very healthy I have been visiting him since he was four weeks old. He know his name and he recognizes me. I wouldn't take him if I wasn't confident that he will be fine. I have a senior yorkie in the home which will be a companion and teacher for him. |
pips' first night Well, Pips did really well his first night. He went down at nine and I woke up at 130 to check on him. Took him to his pen he potties and took him back to crate. He went back to sleep til five am. I fed him, he ate and pottied and is now sleeping in his pod bed on my lap. Impressed he did very well. My senior Bailey loves him. He laid between me and Pips most of the night. |
Very nice ! He's sooooooo cute!! |
Thanks happy birthday Chester! |

Looking handsome their a Pips! You'll be a real ladies man when you get a little older their little guy! Thanks for sharing ! |
Pip just keeps getting cuter! |
Thanks for the nice compliments. He is so much fun. He is all teeth right now but once he wears his energy down a but he's all snuggles. |
Pips 9 weeks old 1.5 lbs 3 Attachment(s) Pips is doing great. He had his second shots today and I have decided not to do the 9 way and do only the 5 way without lepto because of his size. The vet agreed with me so he will be getting two more 5 way and then at 16 weeks get parvo, rabies and start flea protection. He goes to bed at 7 pm and sleeps through the night except to use his ppads in the pen. He is still confined to the kitchen but has access to ppads and his toys. Such a sweet boy - loves to cuddle on my chest in bed. Him and my senior Bailey are doing nose kisses but not interacting on a regular basis. Bailey is adjusting in his own timeline, no pressure. |

Bailey is another Yorkie? Or a cat? Chester still gets about a foot away from the cat, only when I'm holding Chester and the cat comes over for pettings It last for about a min, then Chester wants to play, and gets hyper, so I remove him from the scene with the cat Big difference at 11+ weeks old with him now He's definitely getting bigger, smarter, and sleeping better |

Love his colors, he's going to be a handsome little guy :) |
Thanks Bailey is a Biewer yorkie, a big boy. He weighs 14 lbs. I don't take Pips outside yet he hasn't had his three sets of shots yet. Next Saturday he gets his third round then one week later he can start getting out. |
We have a fenced in back yard, that's the only place Chester has been out to so far also. He gets his next shot on Monday the 21st We just gave him his de-wormer, and have to bring a stool sample in Monday Were hoping that's it with the worms, were keeping our fingers crossed Pips is coming right along I feel like their from the same litter, being they are growing up at the same pace , lol |
We have a large wooded lot no neighbors but there is the potential for ticks so I don't want to take a chance. Plus we have hawks. Yeah they seem to be tracking closely it's great to have someone to compare notes with. I hope Pips doesn't get any more worming meds too. He was negative twice so I am hoping he is done. Is Chester starting to lose teeth yet? On or about 12 weeks they start over with permanent ones. Take care |
I havn't noticed yet with his teeth I'm going to ask the vet monday |
I just checked, his back ones are coming in |

Very nice ! his colors are coming in nice ! We just took Chester to the vet, and at 12 weeks 4 days old, he was 2.2lbs, to give you a idea LOL @ the energy, yes, I need some of that LOL |
Pips phoos 11.5 weeks 35 oz. 2 Attachment(s) Pips updated photos. He got a bath today, fuzz bear. Also included pic of my 6 yr old Biewer, Bailey. They still only look at each other from a far. Bailey won't come over. Today had them both on a leash and tried, Pips laid down so Bailey could come to him, but B would have nothing to do with him. Going to keep working on it. B has his timer with me - he sleeps with us and he goes where I go even if I get up at night. Started working with Pips leash training in house, he doesn't quite get it yet. He will in time. Maybe when I start walking them together B will be more comfortable... |
