Hope y'all are settling in well. Waiting for more pictures! |
OMG she is one of the cutest little furbabies i have ever seen! She is adorable. Congrats I hope all is going well with your guys |
Thanks everyone! We're all doing well and she seems to like it here very much and has adjusted quickly. She does not, however, enjoy car rides. If she's in her crate, she's whining and there is really no stopping her (not like if it's bed time, she'll stop pretty quickly then). And if you let her on your lap, she tries to crawl all over the place, including the driver's lap, which is obviously dangerous. I don't know why she can't get comfortable. She's also having a bit of trouble with potty training, but I don't think it's all on her part. I think I just missed a lot of the signs where she would try to tell me she needed to go out. She usually follows right behind me, everywhere. But now and then she'd wander off and I would just think she was starting to gain some independence. Turns out she was usually pottying right in front of the door (so at least she understands she needs to go to the door). But we're working on it. Other than that, it's been a delight. She's teething and I got her some rawhide sticks that seem to really help with her chewing EVERYTHING. Poor baby must be hurting. She's due for her first vet visit in the upcoming week, hope it goes well! Anyway, here are a few more pics! Enjoy! Irisjade22's Library | Photobucket |

She is adorable!! I am glad she is doing well :). I have a 8 month old and she is my first Yorkie. She really has been so great. She wont go potty outside thats the only thing. She goes on puppy pads. My little girl absolutely loves car rides. I bring her on them everyday so I think she is just used to it. Your little girl will get used to them after a while and I am sure she will love them! Also bones are great for their teething. Also I have this toy she loves. They are dog keys and she chews on them ALL the time! |
Awwwwww she's BEAUTIFUL  Love the pic of her and your kitten too - I'm hoping my cat George takes to my puppy when I get her later this year :D I'm sure he will - he's a pretty laid back kind of chap :p Sounds like everything's going well. Perhaps take her out to her toilet area every half hour and I'm sure she'll soon catch on :) Know what you mean about looking forward SO MUCH to taking her on hikes etc.....I'm surrounded by fabulous countryside and got a lot of lovely trips planned for my girl once she's old enough (over a year, not in her first puppy year) - including Kielder Water, the Lake District, Yorkshire etc etc  Look forward to hearing all about your wee angel and what she's getting up to  |
Thanks! The pottying issue is getting better. She's getting better at letting me know when she needs to go out, and I'm getting better at recognizing it. I think I will get her some bones or something else to chew on. She ate half the rawhide stick when I first got a bag, now she won't hardly touch them. Perhaps she's just bored of them? I was really happy she and the cat got along so well. Now she has someone to get her energy out with. Lord knows I can only play tag with her for so long  Yes, the hikes should be really fun. We have lots of state parks and places to go walking. It's beautiful country out here, too, and I already have several places I want to take her, including a hike to a very large cave with a creek and waterfall inside. I can't wait! And don't worry, I'll take plenty of pictures!:) Thanks, I love having people to tell about her antics who seem to love her and their own yorkies just as much as I do! My family all think I'm a little obsessed...:p |
