Anyone with two different sized yorkies? I know it's hard to tell of the coat is full/long but anyone with a five/six pound yorkie and a seven/eight/nine pounder? I'm looking for a size comparison. Would be helpful if they are in pic together. 😊 |
1 Attachment(s) I have two different size ones but not those weights. Mikki weighs about 4 lb and Rosie is about 6 lb. But Mikki is also not as tall nor as long so it looks like their is a big difference in them. ;). Hope this helps. Attachment 388928 |
Thanks, I definitely do see the size difference. The little guy is in the back right? |

1 Attachment(s) Macy is 6 pounds and Molly is a little over 7 pounds. Molly is longer in the body and you can really tell the difference in weight when you pick both up at the same time. |
1 Attachment(s) This is Tuffy, Abigail & Bella (from left to right). Tuffy is close to 8 pounds, Abigail the Chihuahua is about 5 & Bella is just over 12. Welcome to YorkieTalk! eta: I don't know if you read the forum rules but they say to start a thread your post should contain a picture. I just wanted to give you a head's up in case it gets moved :-) |

I only have one Yorkie and she is exactly 3 pounds. As you can see she looks really tiny .:) |
1 Attachment(s) Here are some of my sweet babies from years ago. These range in size from 5 lbs to 9 lbs. |
1 Attachment(s) Here is a pic of Barney and Anna. Barney, the tall one, weighs 4.5 Anna, the short one, weighs almost 6. He has a very light frame. She is short and stubby. This pic is after they were in the rain so you can see how tiny he is under all his fluff. This also shows that you can't really tell based on weight alone. Some yorkies have a light frame and some of them are sturdier. This affects their weight. |
1 Attachment(s) More yorkies from years ago. The big girl in the front weighed 12 lbs and the others around 5 to 8 lbs. I love yorkies of all sizes. :) |
A Yorkie extravaganza. 😊 |

3 Attachment(s) Toki is a little over 8 pounds and Teddy is around 9.5 pounds. Toki has a smaller frame and her hair is also kinda long and fluffs her up so she looks rounder (she also has a tiny peanut head lol). Teddy has a larger frame but is long, tall, and more muscular. A lot of times it is hard to tell that there's a size difference but I think that's largely related to how I keep their coats. |

But next to a big dog they all look small. My vet last week thought Galen was 5lbs. But he still has that puppy hair and I am growing it. He weighs only 3.5 lbs. |
1 Attachment(s) Jada my yorkie is 5.5lbs and Bogie is 7.7lbs. Jada is short and Cobby and Bogie is long legged and longer body. |
